Dota 2 Patch 7.35 Winners – The Heroes That Got Most Buffs

After waiting for around 2 months for the most recent Dota 2 update, it is finally here. As mentioned in our Dota 2 Patch 7.35 overview, the new update brings us tons of content, such as new items, hero changes, cosmetic items, bans, and more. Speaking of the latter, some popular streamers were surprised in a very bad way, but that’s because Valve said it would take action against those abusing the rules.

Besides the Dota 2 Frostivus 2023, the most recent update also brought us patch 7.35. After covering some of the important item changes, now it is time to dive deep into the hero changes and analyze those who won the most. Let’s begin.

Dota 2 Patch 7.35 Winners

When discussing the winners, we will only highlight the heroes with more buffs than nerfs. Of course, a lot of heroes received positive changes, but some are a bit better than others, so we will focus on them.

Bane

Starting with the first hero on the list that got several big buffs, we have Bane. The latter has interesting changes that will most likely bring him back in the meta. The first one is Brain Sap, which now deals more damage and heals on levels 1-3, and it costs less mana than before. Moreover, Brain Sap combined with an Aghs Shard also decreases the ability’s cooldown by 3 seconds.

As for the other changes, Nightmare now has slightly more cast range on levels 1-3 than before, allowing  Bane to be more effective. Although these Dota 2 Patch 7.35 changes may not seem that important, they will make a difference.

Batrider

When talking about Dota 2 heroes that got buffed in patch 7.35, we need to address Batrider. This has been one of the game's worst heroes before the arrival of the new patch. In fact, Batrider was at the bottom when it came down to the win rate, so it’s no surprise the hero received a couple of interesting changes.

The first change is to Flamebreak because the ability slows the movement speed of enemies by 30% on level 4 instead of 25%. The projectile speed is also increased, so Batrider should be able to land the ability more easily.

Firefly is also an ability that got slightly buffed. Now, it has 4s less cooldown on level 4, allowing Batrider to use it more than before. This buff is more important than you think because it will make the hero more offensive.

The last change to the hero is related to his AoE indicator when there is a secondary grab with Flaming Lasso. Needless to say, this will become visible only if the hero has an Aghanim’s Scepter.

Clinkz

One of Dota 2’s most underrated carries also got several big changes is Clinkz, and it was not surprising. It’s been several months since we’ve seen the hero in the meta, but he is finally one of the Dota 2 Patch 7.35 winners.

Regarding Clinkz, the first important thing we need to know is his agility gain, which is up from 2.5 to 2.7 per level. This will make last hitting easier than before and he will have more armor.

Other than the AGI gain, Clinkz’s Burning Barrage now costs less mana and has less cooldown, allowing the hero to use it more often.

As for his talents, Clinkz’s level 20 talent grants him a +350 HP bonus from Death Pact rather than +300, and Strafe’s cooldown is down by 9s instead of 8s with the level 25 talent.

Doom

Doom is one of the Dota 2 Patch 7.35 winners that we need to talk about. One of the world’s top-tier offlaners is probably back in the meta because the most recent changes gave him 5 buffs.

Starting with the hero’s base movement speed is up from 285 to 290. Another interesting change is to his Devour, which now allows him to get a neutral ability that will level up automatically at the time when it would scale. In other words, it is much easier to use those abilities than before.

The third new change to Doom is related to his Infernal Blade and the cooldown. Instead of having 16/12/8/4s, it now has 13/10/7/4s, meaning he can use it much more early on.

DOOM, his big ultimate, no longer makes a hero deniable. This is a subtle but very important change that will increase Doom’s effectiveness.

Lastly, the hero’s level 20 talent allows his Infernal Blade to do 2% of the target’s maximum HP as damage (it was 1.8% before). After playing with Doom on the new patch, it is safe to say he is among the best heroes in the game right now. We can’t wait to see him in action.

Ember Spirit

Another forgotten hero who will most likely make a comeback in the 7.35 patch is Ember Spirit. After the new changes, the hero’s Searing Chains can now capture 3 targets instead of 2, making it way better than before.

Slight of Fist, Ember’s main damage ability, now deals more damage on levels 2,3 and 4 than before, and Flame Guard has larger radios. This will allow Ember to deal more damage during the laning stage and when chasing his enemies.

Keeper of the Light

KoTL, one of the fan-favorite heroes, also got interesting changes. He is among the Dota 2 Patch 7.35 winners because Will-o-Wisp got buffed. Ignus GFatuus now also deals 75 damage per flicker.

Recall also changes because when used, Kotl will now cast Chakra Magic on both him and his ally.

Other than that, the hero’s level 10, 20, and 25 talent also got buffed.

Conclusion

These were just some of the Dota 2 Patch 7.35 winners. The new update brings a lot of other small buffs, and we can’t cover everything in a single article. Other notable names that got better include Juggernaut, Grimstroke, Leshrac, Medusa, Mars and more.
