November was a rough month for the Guangzhou Charge, with a majority of their roster leaving to pursue other opportunities. Tank players Wonja “Rise” Lee, Hongjun “HOTBA” Choi, Joona “fragi” Laine, and Hyungseok “Bischu” Kim all left the team in November. Another departure came from support player Lizhen “OnlyWish” Chen, who saw very little playtime with the Charge in 2019.

Strong Support

The strength of the Guangzhou Charge will come from their support line. Which they've built in the off-season through the additions of Qi “Wya” Haomiao and Alberto “neptuNo” González. The Charge already have support players Jung-yeon “Chara” Kim and Jin-seo “Shu” Kim on the roster. Two highly skilled Chinese support players who have created momentum for the team in desolate scenarios in the past. Overall The Guangzhou Charge roster is slim and offers little variation in their starting lineup but a skilled few with phenomenal communication can be a redeeming quality.

The team’s Homestand event was cancelled due to concerns over the coronavirus outbreak in China. So far we've yet to hear how the outbreak may have affected the practice and well being of the team. This is an issue that affects the entirety of the Pacific Division and more specifically the China based teams in the League; who may have friends or family affected by the newest strain of the coronavirus.
