Overwatch 2 Stats for Season 6

Here are some of the Overwatch 2 stats you need to be aware of when it comes down to Season 6.

Season 6 of Overwatch 2 is the most interesting one we had in months. In addition to the new hero, we also have access to a PvE mode, a new game mode, and tons of cosmetic items. Speaking of the devil, you can check our Overwatch 2 Season 6 Battle Pass overview, where we go over the rewards you can get.

Considering Season 6 has been around for a few weeks now, we have a lot of interesting Overwatch 2 stats to go over. Some things you are about to see will definitely surprise you, whereas others are probably not that interesting. Nevertheless, it’s always good to know some info about different stats, so let’s dive into everything.

The number of players

When talking about Overwatch 2 stats for Season 6, one of the first and most important things we need to consider is the number of active players. Although Blizzard does not provide us with live stats, there are many third-party websites that do that.

A quick look at some of the reveals that there have been more than 23M active Overwatch 2 players in the last 30 days. These numbers are impressive, but if we take a look at the stats from previous months, we can see that the number is going down.

Overwatch 2’s peak number of players occurred in February 2023, when there were more than 26M active users. That number has dropped by more than 23M, but keep in mind that the Overwatch 2 stats for Season 6 will change because we’re still at the beginning of the season. Considering all of the new things we have access to, S6 should attract a lot more players.

In terms of the Overwatch 2 stats for the average daily players, August had around 1,62M, whereas July was at 1.66M. This is another bad sign for the game, but we will keep an eye on it in the future because Season 6 and the upcoming ones should be able to attract more players.

Overwatch 2 Stats – Heroes

The hero Tracer from Overwatch

When it comes down to the Overwatch 2 stats for heroes, things are very interesting. First, we’d like to start by saying that the stats are divided into two big groups. The first one is for casual play, whereas the other one is for competitive play. As you can expect, there are some big differences between the two because players who want to reach a given rank will want to check the heroes to avoid in Overwatch 2 Season 6. Keep in mind that there’s also a difference between PC and console players.

Starting with the PC players and the DPS role, we’ve already covered some of the DPS ranking tips for season 6 that include a few of the best heroes right now. Speaking of the best, the PC stats reveal that Symmetra has the highest win rate, with more than 54.43%. She’s first in Quickplay and Competitive as well, which means that people who know how to use this hero win their games more often.

What’s interesting is that Torb is second with 53.36%. Like Symmetra, this hero relies on his Turret to do damage and it seems like this ability is paying off because he and Symm have a lot higher win rates than the next option on the list.

The next most successful DPS in the PC variation of Overwatch 2 Season 6 is Echo. What’s interesting about this hero is that there’s a substantial difference between her win rate in Quickplay and Competitive. A quick look at the Quickplay reveals that she has around 50.84%, but her Competitive win rate sits at 48.51%. This means that enemies know how to shut her down and prevent her from doing insane damage.

Overwatch 2 Stats – Tank Heroes

How to Unlock Junker Queen in Overwatch 2

Moving on to the PC Overwatch 2 stats for Tanks, we can see that Junker Queen is leading the chart with a total of 53.32%. What’s interesting is that the hero is that she shines among casual players, where her win rate is even higher. While it’s true that JQ is also a solid pick for competitive matches, Reinhardt and Doomfist outclass her, at least for now. Keep in mind that Overwatch 2 Season 6 still has a lot of time left, so there will be changes.

The next hero who is above the rest is Reinhardt. As we just mentioned, he is the most successful tank in Competitive play, and he tanks the third place in Quickplay. One of the reasons for this difference is the fact that inexperienced tank players often overextend.

The number 3 spot on the list is for Sigma, the kind of Poke combos. Sigma’s been pretty good in Season 6 so far, which explains why his win rate is at 51.41%. When talking about Overwatch 2 stats, his competitive win rate is 51.85%, whereas the Competitive play is at 50.42%.

Overwatch 2 Stats – Support Heroes

When taking a look at the supports, it’s no surprise that Illari is leading the chart with a 54.42% win rate in competitive and a jaw-dropping 55.66% in Quickplay. The hero is incredibly strong, which explains why Blizzard decided to nerf some of her abilities.

The next name that’s pretty successful is Brigitte. The hero’s overall win rate is around 54.47%, but after analyzing the Quickplay and Competitive, we can see that she’s much better in casual games. The latter has a win rate of around 55.20%, whereas the Competitive play sits at 52.66%.

Finally, we have Zenyatta, with a combined win rate of 51.78%. Zen’s Quickplay win rate is 52.37%, whereas his competitive win rate is 50.10%. The difference in the stats is that a lot of ranked players know how to deal with the annoying support.
