You also have to capture different creatures and train them to aid your survival journey, who are then known as “Pals.” However, you might encounter the same Pals that you have already captured once out and about in the wild world, but how do you tell if you’ve already caught them before? How to tell if you have caught a Pal in Palworld
As mentioned before, one of the main features of playing Palworld is having to capture Pals, which is easy enough. However, it is still uncertain whether you have properly caught the Pal or not, so how to tell if you have caught a Pal? There are a few specific ways to tell that. The quickest way to tell if you have caught a Pal before is by aiming your Pal Sphere at it. Then, the game will show you the “Capture Chance” and if there is a text saying “NEW!” on top of it, that means you have not caught the Pal before and you should probably capture it, for good measure!
Another way to tell if you have caught a Pal before is by successfully capturing a Pal first. Then, when you’re done capturing it, a text box will pop up on the bottom right corner of your screen, saying “The Pal is under investigation.” If that text box also has the saying “First time capture!” on top of it, that means you have not caught that Pal before.
Alternatively, you can check the name of the Pal in front of you and then go into your “Inventory” and then “Paldeck” to see if the Pal has been unlocked there or not. If the Pal you encountered has already been unlocked, that means you have captured it before. If not, that means it is a new Pal that you have not captured before, hence it is not in the Paldeck. This is a rather tedious way of figuring out whether you already have a Pal or not, so we don’t recommend it.
