The key to this is picking the right base to begin with, that way you can naturally increase it's so. After all, building inside a small 5×5 area isn't going to give as much expansion as it will if you build on flat land.

How to increase base size efficiently in Palworld

First of all, you need to have a basic and functioning base already in your world. This can be anywhere but make sure that it is an area with flat land and plenty of resources nearby. However, you will want to move your base later on in the game once you’re situated enough to increase base size efficiently. Some spots that are perfect for creating a leveled-up base with increased size are given as follows:

• The flat area right next to the Deep Bamboo Thicket

• The Red Tree or Autumn Biome area which is a little way away from the Desolate Church

• The Fort Ruins in the Windswept Hills

• The Ruined Fortress City 

• The Lavender Fields

Once you do move to one of these locations, you will have a vast amount of area to increase your base size in. The areas with the most space are the Ruined Fortress City and the Lavenders Fields. Here, you can not only build yourself a house but also create specific platforms for mining, logging, breeding and enhancement. We all know that placing a Palbox down requires a lot of space to be free around it, so all of the five areas mentioned above are perfect for having multiple Palbox locations as well. Not only that, but all of these locations also have plenty of trees and many Ore nodules for collecting ample amounts of resources. 

Once you do choose an area to create your base in, make sure to scope it out properly and build properly around it to prevent raids from destroying your land completely and you can defend them easily with defensive Pals. Map out where you want everything to be and then proceed with building everything, starting specifically with the Palbox location(s) and Pal Gear Workbench. After that, increase base size however you would like to, as it is your base after all!

How many Bases can you have?

The most commonly asked question about bases in Palword is: how many bases can you have? Contrary to popular belief, you can have multiple bases in your world. Yes, not just one, not just two but multiple bases in places that you want. As long as you’re taking good care of each base and ensuring your Pals are happy and healthy with their ranch life, what’s wrong with having more than one base? You can even go the extra mile and have a base in every cool location you come across just to have a variety and be able to catch as many Pals as you’d like. Nothing is stopping you in your world except your own self!
