Alexey “Solo” Berezin, Vladimir “No[o]ne-“ Minenko and Bakyt “W_Zayac” Emilzhanov officially parted ways with the club yesterday.


According to a statement from Sergey Glamazda, VP’s CEO, the departure came about through a mutual agreement.

“We know that the players want to participate in tournaments right now, so we came to a mutual agreement and yesterday was their last day in Virtus.pro”. He said. Glamazda also acknowledged the “enormous contribution” Solo, No[o]ne- and W_Zayac had in Virtus.pro and the Dota 2 scene.

“They went down in esports history for sure.” He said.

Solo and No[o]ne- won won 16 tournaments, including 5 Majors during their time with VP. As well as placing 5-6 at TI twice. During his time with the team, Bakyt “W_Zayac” Emilzhanov became the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Online champion and won Parimatch League Season 3.

The first real shakeup in Virtus.pro’s line-up came in September of 2019, when their star carry, Ramzes, left to join EG. 9Pasha, another of the team’s core line-up, moved on shortly after. Then RodjER left in November of the same year to join Winstrike.

Solo and No[o]ne- were the last two members from VP’s TI8 qualifying squad. The pair played a total of 1279 maps together. It will certainly be interesting to see what the future will have in store for Virtus.pro and their former players.
