Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev, probably the best CIS carry in the last couple of years will be making a move west, joining the NA powerhouse Evil Geniuses.
⚠️ Today is the day to say thank you and goodbye to @ramzesdoto. Our Carry is leaving the team to join @EvilGeniuses pic.twitter.com/BkEA3U7CuS

It seems like Virtus. Pro was seriously “shaken” by their TI 9 performance. In fact, they’ve released two players from their main roster in just two weeks. This means only one thing – we will soon have more news regarding which players will take the spots of RAMZES and Pavel ‘9pasha’ Khvastunov
“Playing for VP is a special period of my life, and I’m thankful to the org for these three years of working together. … I can’ wait to face the new challenges together with my teammates in a new region” said Roman in his official statement.
Evil Geniuses – Sumail & s4, the two TI winners
We'd like to thank @s4dota for his experience and voice within the team during this previous season. As one of the true legends of @Dota2, we wish him the best of luck in the future. pic.twitter.com/7KHGB8P61e

We expected to see some minor changes in the NA team, but we were wrong. As of today, the organization is releasing Gustav ‘s4’ Magnusson as a free agent. In terms of Sumail ‘Sumail’ Hassan, he will remain under contract and is supposedly “open” to a transfer talk.
Many people have criticized the two Dota geniuses due to their mediocre performance for the most part during the DPC season. Despite that, EG played exceptionally well during TI 9 and proved to be one of the strongest teams yet again. That said, it seems like it was not enough for a team of their caliber.
We can only wish both players the best of luck in the future. Needless to say, they will find a new home very soon. After all, both of them are TI winners.
Abed & RAMZES
Excited for the new season! Welcome @abedyusop @ramzesdoto

For better or worse, RAMZES666 will not be taking over the carry role in EG. This spot will remain in control of Artour ‘Arteezy’ Babaev. Instead, the CIS prodigy will fill-in the gap left by s4 in the offlane. According to EG’s annonucement, Roman is familiar with this role from his earlier days in Dota 2.
Last, but most definitely not least, we have the player who will be swapping Sumail in the mid lane – Abed Azel L. Yusop. Needless to say, the SEA player has proved himself as one of the best individual players in the world. In fact, he was consistently voted as the best player on his previous team – Fnatic. Let’s also not forget that Abed was the first player to reach 10K MMR.
“Previously having competed for Fnatic, Digital Chaos, and Execration, Abed’s skill is undeniable…He also brings a much different hero pool to the mid lane… — EG officially has a Meepo player!”
EG’s roster from 1 to 5:
- Artour ‘Arteezy’ Babaev
- Abed ‘Abed’ Azel L. Yusop
- Roman ‘MRAZES666’ Kushnarev
- Andreas ‘Cr1t-’ Nielsen
- Tal ‘Fly’ Aizik
We will be able to see the new roster in the upcoming qualifiers for the first DPC Major. As you know, Valve switched the dates due to Midas Mode 2.0, which means that they will begin on the 5th of October.
There are still a lot of changes to be revealed soon. After all, some of the best players in the world right now are “teamless”.
