It seems like the team’s bad performance has led to this decision.
Virtus.Pro was one of the best teams in the world when it comes down to Dota 2. However, ever since the team made a few roster changes after TI 9, things just haven’t been the same.
Now, one year later, the team had to make the hard decision to decline their participation in ESL One Germany. Along with that, VP’s main roster is now going to be inactive until further notice.
What happened?

As expected, Virtus. Pro’s dreadful performance wasn’t left unnoticed. People expected to see new roster changes, but it seems like the organization decided that it’s time for some more radical changes.
“The team has not been performing as expected in recent months. The management, the players, and you, our fans, can agree on that. Now is the time to put things on pause and make important decisions about the roster’s future.”
The last successful results for Virtus.Pro was in the ESL One Los Angeles and the Parimatch League Season 3. Apart from that, VP hasn’t really achieved anything big. In fact, they barely managed to be among the top eight teams in the OMEGA League. It seems like this was the last nail in the coffin for Virtus.Pro.
The CIS region has had a lot of changes lately, but it seems like everything is slowing down on. Apart from VP, Natus Vincere as well as FlyToMoon also made some roster changes. It will be really interesting to see what will happen with the new rosters. As for Virtus.Pro, we can only hope that we’ll see the team back again.
