Mars
Mars is an outstanding melee hero in the 7.33c patch. Dota 2 players can choose Mars to push enemy heroes towards ledges and trees to stun them. Mars can put forward his shield to reduce the amount of damage taken from incoming attacks during battles. He has a base Strength of 23 and gains 3.7 Strength per level.
Spear of Mars can be hurled at enemy heroes in the game to deal 325 damage. The cooldown of Spear of Mars has been reduced from 12 seconds to 11 seconds in the latest version of Dota 2. His ability has a cast range of 1200, letting Mars stun enemy heroes for up to 2.2 seconds with each cast. You can impale your enemies to trees and cliffs on the New Frontiers map to disable your opponents at any time. Spear of Mars consumes 130 mana to be used per cast.
You can unlock quite a few upgrades for Spear of Mars by leveling up. Mars can increase the damage dealt to enemy heroes and the duration of the stun through the Talent Tree. You can purchase an Aghanim’s Shard for Mars to stun 2 enemy heroes at once, leaving behind a trail of fire that deals 40 damage per sound (DPS) and slowing your opponents by 20% for 2 seconds.
Mars can launch his spear at ranged heroes like Mirana to keep them from leaping towards your allies. Enemy heroes with melee attacks like Slark will be unable to pounce on your teammates by nuking them with Spear of Mars. Mars can shove enemy heroes away from his allies by using God’s Rebuke. He can cast God’s Rebuke on multiple enemy units to deal up to 270% critical damage in battles, knocking them back by a distance of 500. The bonus damage dealt to enemy heroes from God’s Rebuke is increased from 20 to 25 in the new update.
Mars can protect himself from enemy attacks by activating Bulwark. Any attack dealt by enemies in front of Mars is decreased by 70%, letting Mars tank a huge amount of damage in battles. You can purchase a Crimson Guard to strengthen the tanking abilities of Mars. Crimson Guard provides 250 health, 12 health regeneration, and 8 armor to the Strength hero. He can cast Guard using the item to let his allies absorb over 70 damage per hit from enemy heroes for 8 seconds.
His ulti, Arena of Blood, can restrict the movement of the enemy team. Mars can confine multiple enemy heroes within an arena using his ulti that lasts for 7 seconds. He can stun enemies using Spear of Mars inside the arena to deal bonus damage to his opponents. Mars can summon Arena of Blood to let his allies escape battles after losing a significant amount of health.
You can buy items like a Gleipnir to increase the attack damage of Mars by 30. Gleipnir costs 6150 gold in the game. The melee hero can use Gleipnir to root enemy heroes in a radius of 375 for 2 seconds. The item also provides a 30% chance to release an electric current that deals 160 damage to multiple enemy units
around Mars.
Earthshaker
Earthshaker is a Strength hero with a wide range of abilities that can be used to stun enemy heroes. He has a base mana pool of 291. You can purchase items like an Arcane Boots to provide 250 mana and 45 movement speed to Earthshaker. The item can be activated to replenish 175 mana to Earthshaker and his allies, allowing the melee hero to cast several instances of Fissure and Enchant Totem to disable his opponents in team fights.
The cast range of Fissure has been increased from 1400 to 1600 in the 7.33c patch. Fissure creates a ridge of stones that lasts for 8 seconds, preventing enemy heroes from accessing different paths in the game. You can use Fissure early in Dota 2 matches to get First Blood! for your team. Fissure deals 110 damage at level 1, stunning enemy heroes that it hits for up to 0.8 seconds. You can max out Fissure to deal 260 damage to enemy heroes, increasing the duration of the stun. Each instance of Fissure can take up to 150 mana to be used per cast.
You can increase the cast range of Fissure by purchasing an Aether Lens for Earthshaker. Aether Lens grants 300 mana and 2.5 mana regeneration to the melee hero, increasing the cast range of his items and abilities by 225. Earthshaker can slam the ground with his weapon using Enchant Totem to deal 400% bonus damage to enemy units. You can level up his passive ability, Aftershock, to deal 160 damage, and extend the duration of his stuns. The 7.33c patch has increased the stun duration provided by Aftershock from 1.2 seconds to 1.3 seconds.
Earthshaker can blink into battles using a Blink Dagger to stun enemies using Echo Slam. The echo damage dealt by his ulti has been increased from 110 to 125 in the latest update. Echo Slam also deals an initial damage of 180. He can easily destroy illusions created by enemy heroes like Phantom Lancer, Terrorblade, and Naga Siren using Echo Slam.
Primal Beast
Primal Beast is a monstrous tank hero in Dota 2. He can rush towards enemy heroes in his lane by using Onslaught. The melee hero can cover a distance of up to 2000 units using Onslaught to disrupt enemy heroes, stunning them for 1.4 seconds and dealing 380 damage to them. Primal Beast gains a massive 4.3 Strength per level, increasing his health drastically throughout the game as he levels up.
He can absorb damage from enemy attacks using Uproar to gain bonus attack damage and armor. The bonus armor gained per stack from Uproar is increased from 4 to 5 in the 7.33c patch. Uproar can be stacked up to a maximum of 5 times and can be activated to slow nearby enemies for 3 seconds.
You can purchase an Armlet of Mordiggian for Primal Beast to gain 25 attack speed, 15 attack damage, 6 armor, and 5 health per second. Primal Beast can turn on Unholy Strength using Armlet of Mordiggian, providing 25 bonus Strength and 35 attack damage as a bonus to the melee hero.
He can grab enemy heroes using his ulti, Pulverize, to pound enemy heroes to the ground for 2.3 seconds. The damage dealt from each hit while using Pulverize has been increased from 200 to 225 in the 7.33c patch, letting Primal Beast get plenty of kills in his matches. Pulverize also lets Primal Beast stun enemy heroes around him for a few seconds, allowing his allies to focus their attacks on enemies to destroy them in battles.
