Pocketpair have released a small yet important update for it’s hit new survival game, Palworld.
The developers state that they have fixed the infinite loading screen bug which was bugging many of its users, while fixing various ‘incorrect text”. The patch includes more bug fixes than listed on the official patch notes blog post, as the developer team is working on countering the increasing amount of cheaters and glitch exploiters.
“Currently, some players have been confirmed to be cheating on the official server,” revealed the Pocketpair earlier during the day. “We will apply a patch as soon as it is ready, but it is currently difficult to completely prevent all cheating immediately.” Palworld has hit 2 million concurrent players on Steam, and the overwhelming amount of popularity has caused some issues for the developers.
Pocketpair added, “We will continue to focus even more on security and aim to create an environment where everyone can play with peace of mind. We sincerely apologize to all players who have been affected by this incident.”
“We will continue to place top priority on fixing major issues. Thank you for your continued support of Palworld.” added the developer in their social media patch notes post.
Palworld 1.3.0 Patch Notes: Full list of changes
It is important to know the version code for each of the platform is different, i.e it is listed as patch v0.1.3.0 on Steam. Whereas on the XBOX Game pass, this version is named as patch v0.1.1.1.
These are the full list of changes revealed by Pocket Pair in the patch notes post for Palworld, and the changes, however, very few, are important to the user and gameplay experience for the newly launched title.
- Fixed a bug where the loading screen did not end when logging into the world
- Fixed a bug where the world date was not displayed correctly and appeared to reset.
- Corrected various incorrect text
- Countermeasures against various cheats and exploits.
Also, this update doesn’t necessary deploy the planned ‘anticheat’ for the new game, as developer Pocketpair is ‘working on it’ at the time of writing this article. The developers have so much more to fix and Pocketpair are working to fix several issues with the game such as server access congestion, due to an unexpectedly high concurrent player count.
Palworld has emerged as a massively popular title in the beginning of 2024, generating alot of hype as the game combines various aspects of other games, such as Ark Survival Evolved and the critter-capturing classic, Pokemon.
The patch is available on Steam of Thursday, January 25, with the Xbox version of the same update is slated to release a little later.
There is still some time until the game is regular with content drops, and with Palworld facing its own list of issues, it is wise of the developers to fix the more important tasks at hand such as bugs and glitches and exploits.
