The biggest, longest-running eSports event returns after a great Rio tour in April – this time without Team Vitality, who went on to win the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 after wielding the IEM Rio 2023 trophy.
This will be a week-long showcasing of some of the best Counter-Strike talents, with the Group Stage starting on May 29. Here’s everything you need to know about this S-tier competition, from the participating teams to schedules and updated results.

Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2023 – List of Teams
Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2023 will feature 16 teams from worldwide. Alongside ESL Partners, we will see the participation of invited squads and rosters from the Qualifier events and groups with a high ESL World Ranking.
The 16 teams will be divided into two groups below –
Group A
- Heroic
Even with teams like FaZe and Cloud9 at the event, Heroic are going to be the best name on paper after reaching the Paris Major Semifinals. With a 78.9% win rate in the last three months, the Germans will be hungry for a trophy after nearly missing one.
- 9z Team
After an unsuccessful 0-2 run in IEM Rio 2023, the Argentinians will arrive at their 5th S-tier competition and 3rd IEM tournament. Right before this, 9z concluded their CCT South America Series 7 journey after losing the semi-final.
- Fnatic
The Europeans are coming into this event after successfully qualifying for Gamers8 with a 4-match winning streak. They are taking Virtus.pro’s spot as the Russians declared their withdrawal from the tournament.
- MOUZ
Not getting a single win in IEM Rio 2023 and Paris Major, MOUZ will try to end their 5-match losing streak. Both of their recent IEM appearances ended with a 0-2 group-stage elimination.
- FURIA Esports
The Brazilians will be hoping for a change of pace after a disappointing winless run in the Major which was unexpected considering their excellent form in the Americas RMR.
- OG
OG will be playing this event without AWPer Abdulkhalik “degster” Gasanov, with substitute Iulian “regali” Harjău taking his place. The Danish roster’s Major appearance failed to impress the fans after an early exit from the Challengers Stage.
- G2 Esports
After getting an IEM trophy this year in Katowice, the Germans will fight for another. Their Paris Major run ended in the Legends Stage, although the Challengers Stage 3-0 looked hopeful.
- Nouns Esports
The North Americans were picked from the regional qualifier event, and this will be their first shot at an S-tier tournament in their short CSGO career.
Group B
- FaZe Clan
The Quarterfinals were the final destination of this legendary squad in the Paris Major after fighting hard through the two beginning stages. This event will be an opportunity for FaZe to have their second S-tier trophy of 2023 after the ESL Pro League S17 domination.
- Evil Geniuses
Even though EG’s 2023 performance hasn’t impressed many people, they still got the Local Hero Invite due to having more North American players on the roster than ATK.
- ENCE
A clean 3-0 record in the Challengers Stage concluded with a disappointing run in Legends for ENCE’s Major journey. Arriving at IEM without any significant achievements this year, ENCE will try to replicate their 2022 Dallas performance.
- Complexity
This year has looked far from pretty for the North Americans, with their most recent tournament being the Paris Major, where Complexity had a disappointing 1-4 record. Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli may not be present for the opening matches due to visa issues, which is likely to bring the South African Aran “Sonic” Groesbeek as a stand-in.
- Team Liquid
Liquid are the best North American contender at IEM Dallas after reaching the Paris Major Playoffs. This will be former-captain Nick “nitr0” Cannella’s final event with the team as he recently announced his stepping down from the active roster.
- Astralis
The Danes are coming with the CCT South Europe Series 4 trophy, and they were the first team to secure Dallas in the European Qualifiers over Cloud9.
- Cloud9
After not getting a spot in the Major, Cloud9 will fight for a big league trophy and try to bring back their IEM Dallas performance of 2022.
- Grayhound
The only Australian roster at this event will attend their 4th S-tier tournament of the year after ending their Major run in the Challengers Stage.
