Fortnite x J Balvin Leak Reveals Latest ICON Series Entry

Fortnite’s ICON Series will welcome Colombian artist J Balvin soon.

Epic Games is running full force in Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 7, and there’s no stopping. Today, leaks revealed that another ICON Series entry is in the works following the Ariana Grande Rift Tour and Fortnite World Cup Champion Bugha’s cosmetic set release, Colombian singer José Álvaro Osorio Balvín, better known as “J Balvin,” is the next celebrity to join Fortnite’s ICON Series, following the likes of Neymar Jr, LeBron James, Travis Scott and more.

J Balvin to Join ICON Series

The J Balvin leak is one of many data miners have recently produced, including actor Will Smith and Morty from Rick and Morty. Late last night, Twitter users known as HYPEX and Not0fficer detailed the base J Balvin skin and several selectable styles. Fortnite’s imagining of J Balvin features a black outfit, rainbow hair and sneakers, and tattoos. The back bling included is a katana sword with a multi-colored hilt.

Multiple Styles & Emote

Shortly following the first round of leaks, Twitter user DrCacahuette revealed more skin styles for J Balvin and an emote. He compiled all of the selectable variants into one image. The other two J Balvin skins depict the base style with a black and green outfit and a skeletal form. The artist is known for his unique outfit selections, so it’s exciting to see Epic Games honor that in Fortnite.

The emote included in J Balvin’s ICON Series release pulls audio from his hit song “In Da Getto” featuring Skrillex, which came out earlier this summer. Epic Games named the skin “In Da Party,” according to the leaks. We can expect more cosmetics like the usual pickaxe, wrap and more when the set inevitably arrives in Fortnite’s Item Shop.

The exact release date of J Balvin’s ICON Series set is a mystery at this stage, considering Epic Games has not made their announcement. However, we’ve learned how reliable these leaks are in the past and can expect no different from this one. We’ll have to wait and see when the developers will officially reveal the latest J Balvin ICON Series collaboration.
