Fortnite: Samus Appears In Recent Zero Point Comic Issue

Is the iconic Nintendo character known as Samus coming to Fortnite soon?

Epic Games’ ongoing anti-trust battle with Apple has opened the door to many possibilities in Fortnite’s future. In just the first week, court documents revealed potential crossovers with Lebron James, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande and The Rock, none of which came to fruition yet in the popular Battle Royale.

Additionally, the Nintendo character known as Samus from the well-established Metroid series appeared in those files. This information led many to believe that the arm cannon-wielding bounty hunter would become a playable character in Fortnite. That theory became much more real after a leaker found some exciting imagery in the latest Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point issue.

Samus Silhouette Appears in Fortnite Comic

Twitter user VidyaChat was the first to notice the silhouette of a character bearing a striking resemblance to Samus in the third issue of Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point. While it may be hard to locate, you should direct attention to the car’s exhaust underneath the top flame. Upon closer inspection, it’s abundantly clear that Ryu and Chun-Li from Street Fighter are standing alongside Samus.

What Does This Mean?

You may be wondering why Samus showing up in a Fortnite comic might be noteworthy. Since Ryu and Chun-Li had already appeared in the game as skins last season, it stands to reason that Samus could follow that same path. We have now seen two instances of the Metroid series’ protagonist via court documents and now in the Zero Point comic series.

While Epic Games has not acknowledged the rumors or leaks, Fortnite has recently brought in iconic characters from other video games, including Kratos and Master Chief. Let’s not forget that Lara Croft is a featured character in the Season 6 Battle Pass. We’ll have to wait and see if Samus joins the Gaming Icons Series in Fortnite, but it seems likely based on what we know.
