Fortnite: Renegade Raider Skeleton Style Teased In Season 8 Blog Post

A new Renegade Raider style appears to be in the works based on a recent blog post by Epic Games.

Halloween is right around the corner, which means two things for Fortnite Battle Royale fans—the yearly Fortnitemares event and spooky character outfits. It’s one of the best running traditions in the game. Epic Games reworks the map to some extent during the Halloween season. Last year, eliminated players would turn into shadow figures and had a second chance to exact vengeance. If all undead players eliminated the last remaining player, it would earn them a Nitemare Royale.

These are things we can expect ahead of Fortnitemares 2021. However, the character skins are another emphasis around this time. Some of Fortnite’s most iconic skins have Halloween overtones, such as the Skull Trooper and Skull Ranger. A recent blog post from Epic may have leaked another addition to the growing list of spookily reimagined characters.

Two potential leaks or teasers spawned from Epic’s latest blog post regarding the return of Fortnite’s beloved Late Game game mode. One revolves around a possible return of Tilted Towers, and the other depicts an additional Renegade Raider style.

For those who don’t know—Renegade Raider is perhaps the most sought-after skin in Fortnite history. It was only available in Chapter 1 – Season 1, and many consider it the rarest cosmetic outfit. We recently covered Renegade Raider and the allure behind this outfit, so be sure to check that out.

While the original skin is unavailable and likely won’t ever return, Epic has released different variations of Renegade Raider. Epic’s Late Game blog post indicates a third alternate style coming to Fortnite, possibly this season. The image is slightly obscured, but we can make out the familiar Renegade Raider hat with glasses and a skeletal appearance. If true, it’s a monumental release and quite possibly the closest you’ll get to the OG Renegade Raider.

We expect to learn more about Fortnitemares 2021 in the coming weeks—we’ll be sure to keep you updated with what Epic has planned and how to acquire the rumored Skeleton Renegade Raider skin.
