Dota 2: Kuku joins GeekFam

It seems like Carlo “Kuku” Palad already has a new team despite being removed from TNC’s roster just a couple of days ago.

The Philipino superstars’ wild DPC season started after one of the biggest controversies in the last couple of years. Even though it might not seem as much, even the Chinese government took part in it as people wanted him banned from entering China. However, after TNC took financial actions against him, justice seemed to be served and he was able to attend this year's TI which was held in Shanghai. TNC played very well in the tournament. Unfortunately, the SEA powerhouse had to leave after meeting Team Liquid. Ivan Borislavov “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov and his teammates proved to be a little too much for them.

After the tournament was over, Kuku tweeted that he is looking for a new team. However, it turned out that this is just a joke as he had no intention of leaving. Well, it seems like TNC had other plans because just a week after that, they announced the release of Kuku and Nico eyyou Barcelon. Needless to say, this decision came as a shock, especially in SEA where Carlo holds legendary status.

That said, just a couple of days later, GeekFam announced their new Dota 2 roster for the 2019-2020 DPC season and Kuku is one of their players. There are also other famous players by his side such as Kim “DuBu” Doo-young and Marc Polo Luis “Raven” Fausto.

DuBu used to be one of the leading figures in Fnatic. Unfortunately, the last couple of months have not been the best for the South Korean player.

On the other hand, Raven played a vital role in TNC Predator just a couple of months ago. However, after a series of unsuccessful results, the SEA organization decided it’s time to part ways.

Conclusion

SEA Dota is definitely looking pretty good right now. That said, we are yet to know the faith of Mineski. As you probably know, they currently don’t have any Dota 2 roster after all players left. However, a team of their caliber is highly unlikely to remain without a team.
