Dota 2 7.35d Overview – Buffs & Nerfs

The Dota 2 Patch 7.35d arrived, so here is everything you should know about it. We will go through the most important changes.

The Dota 2 New Patch release date is finally here, as Valve gave us access to the Dota 2 7.35d patch. Although we expected to see 7.40, Dota 2’s devs decided to offer us yet another balance patch.  For now, the so-called Dota 2 Crownfall update will have to wait. In fact, Valve has addressed this specifically in their tweet and said that players will have to wait until mid-April tosee it.

Even though this was not the update we expected to see, the Dota 2 Patch 7.35d has to offer. We understand that you want more, so let’s dive into some of the most important hero and item changes.

Dota 2 7.35d Neutral Creeps and Item Changes

The first thing we’d like to address in this article is the Dota 2 7.35d neutral creeps and item changes. Regarding the neutral creeps, Valve decided to nerf some of them, such as the Mud Golem, which gives 3 less gold than before. The most important change here is relative to the bonus from stacking neutral camps, which is now 25% instead of 30%.

Moving on to the Dota 2 Patch 7.35d item changes, there are many different things we need to address. However, we will only focus on the biggest changes because you can learn more about the rest here.

Starting with Divine Rapier, this item is completely different. Instead of granting +350 damage, the item now gives +100, and it does not offer +25% spell amplification by default. Instead, the item allows you to toggle between the latter and +250 damage, depending on the hero.

Another important change following the Dota 2 7.35d patch is related to Black King Bar. The item’s cooldown is increased from 90s to 95s, meaning players have to be more careful when using it.

There are a lot of other small item changes, but there’s no point in going through them here. The same is true for the Neutral Items, but Royal Jelly is a bit more important because it receives 3 changes. Now, the consume restore duration is 8s instead of 10s, but the HP regen per charge is 2.5 instead of 2. Moreover, the mana reg per charge is also 1.25 instead of 1.

Dota 2 7.35d Hero Changes

Regarding the hero changes after the Dota 2 Patch 7.35d, there are a lot of important things you should know. We won’t address every hero because almost all of them have something new. Instead, we’ll go over the most important ones.

Starting with Batrider, the hero’s Flamebreak now does a bit more damage on levels 1-3. Sadly, the burn duration is down to 2/3/4/5s instead of 5s on all levels. On top of that, Batrider’s Level 15 talent reduces the cooldown of Flaming Lasso to 7s instead of 10s.

One of the heroes that received more change than others in the Dota 2 7.35d patch is Lifestealer. The hero has the following new things:

  • Rage – The ability grants less movement speed bonus than before
  • Infest – When used with an Aghanin’s Scepter, the cast bonus range is down to 250 from 350
  • Open Wounds – The cast range is down to 600 from 800

Overall, Lifestealer receives two pretty big nerfs that will definitely affect his playstyle and effectiveness.

When it comes down to Underlord, this also received more changes in the Dota 2 7.35d patch:

  • Pit of Malice – No longer slows down enemies by 40% with the Aghanim’s Scepter. Also, the radius is up by 100.
  • Atrophy Aura now provides 1 more damage on all levels per creep.
  • The hero’s level 15 talent grants +30% Pit of Malice slow instead of +75 Pit of Malice AoE

There are a few other changes that affect certain heroes, but we recommend checking them yourself. Overall, the Dota 2 Patch 7.35d is what we call “the calm before the storm” and for a good reason. This is definitely not the patch the community was hoping for, but it seems like  Valve needs more time to come up with it. Make sure to follow us for more information.
