In this article, we will talk about one of the Diablo 4 best Necromancer endgame builds that players can use once they finish the main story: the Mendeln Summoner build. After having told you about the Diablo 4 best Necromancer leveling build, now we have decided to give you some advice on what are the best endgame builds in the game. Since there are several and the best one is very subjective since it depends on your way of playing, we will talk about each of them in depth in dedicated articles. Let's start this series talking about the Diablo 4 Mendeln Summoner Necromancer build.
Diablo 4 Mendeln Summoner Necromancer build explained
As you can guess from the name of the build, the main object around which the entire build is the Ring of Mendeln. While this build is powerful and has advantages, we don't recommend using it for tasks like Tier 100 Nightmare Dungeon or facing Uber Lilith as it is not the best for these types of tasks. We will talk about the best builds for these tasks in future articles. As for the Mendeln Summoner build, we have to stress that this is the best summoner build for the Necromancer class, even if the damage that is dealt to opponents comes from your character using the Ring of Mendeln rather than from your Skeletal Minions.
The most important thing to consider in using this Mendeln Summoner Necromancer build (but also in builds in general), are the skills on which to focus your attention the most. Choosing the correct skills is very important to make your build as effective and efficient as possible. For this reason, we have decided to create a list with all the skills that you will need to unlock:
- Decompose Level 2

- Enhanced Blight
- Supernatural Blight
- Hewed Flesh Level 3

The Paragon progression system for the Mendeln Summoner Necromancer build unlocks once you reach level 50 with your character, allowing you to have access to many powers. What we recommend you do is prioritize stats like Damage, Intelligence, and Life for Normal and Magic Nodes. As for the Ghyphs, their range increases as you level up. For this reason, if you are unable to fulfill the requirements, we advise you not to allocate extra nodes. If, on the other hand, you don't have the right Glyph, you can equip one as you like until you find the correct one.
The Starting Board is extremely simple; we will quickly move up on the right side to obtain the socket in which we will plug the Control Glyph. It's important to keep in mind to take the additional characteristics nearby in order to receive the Glyph's bonus modifier. As the Glyph levels up via Nightmare Dungeons, the radius will grow.
The Scent of Death Legendary Board is our next Board. Taking the Magic and Rare nodes first, we will install the Legendary Node Scent of Death in this board before inserting the Scourge Glyph into the socket. In order to receive the bonus modifier out of the Glyph, take the additional qualities that are within the radius if you can, much like with the Starting Board.
We will rush to put the Essence Glyph in the socket on the third board, the Flesh-eater. As before, add extra characteristics if the Glyph's radius and level permit the activation of the bonus modification. We will then take the nearby Magic and Rare Nodes as well as the Legendary Node Flesh-eater.
Similar to Flesh-eater, Wither will capture the nearby Magic and Rare nodes as we go toward the socket where we will insert the Corporeal Glyph. If your Glyph is leveled high enough to activate the bonus modifier, only take the additional traits and Nodes around it. If not, you can proceed straight up to the top, which will result in the same exit pathing, and completely avoid the socket and other Nodes.
Take all nearby Magic and Rare for Bloodbath, and then grab the socket to put the Exploit Glyph in it. Prioritize all Dexterity nodes inside the Glyph radius to further increase our damage output, but only take additional attributes surrounding it to activate the bonus modifier. Lastly, our ability to maintain the life of our Minions is made possible by the Cult Leader board. Taking this board is solely necessary to gain the Damage Reduction Nodes for our Minions, which, when combined with the Deadraiser Glyph, will further scale those modifiers.
This Mendeln Summoner Necromancer build, as we have already mentioned, is based on the use of the Ring of Mendeln and Lucky Hits. For this reason, during the fights, your goal is to be able to use skills, such as Bone Prison, that are able to land Lucky Hits. We advise you to first use the Decrepify skill on your enemies, and then make use of Bone Prisoner, Blood Mist (which thanks to the Aspect of Explosive Mist in addition to creating bodies allows you to make them explode), and Blighted Corpse Explosion. Each of these skills gives you the ability to perform Lucky Hits that give you access to the Ring of Mendeln's special effect. Additionally, we also recommend using the Corpse Tendrils ability which allows you to make enemies go into a Vulnerable state.
Lucky Hit is very important to how this Mendeln Summoner build works, but Critical Strike Chance also needs to be considered. Your goal is to reach 100% with this skill thanks to the Aspects Power and bonuses that can be obtained from Supreme Bone Storm. it should also be noted that the Mendeln Summoner Necromancer build has lower cooldown periods, which translates into the possibility of applying the Vulnerable state to your enemies repeatedly. Below, are the stats you need to keep in mind:
- 1H Wand
- + Vulnerable Damage
- + Critical Strike Damage
- + Intelligence
- Focus Offhand
- + Lucky Hit Chance
- + Cooldown Reduction
- + Critical Strike Chance
- Helm
- + Cooldown Reduction
- + Lucky Hit Chance While You Have A Barrier
- Chest
- + Armor
- + Life
- Gloves
- + Lucky Hit Chance
- + Critical Strike Chance
- Pants
- + Ranks of Blood Mist
- Boots
- + Movement Speed
- + Ranks of Corpse Tendrils
- Amulet
- + Ranks of Amplify
- + Movement Speed
- + Cooldown Reduction
- Ring
- + Lucky Hit Chance
- + Critical Strike Chance
Legendary Aspects are another very important thing to consider if you want your build to work properly. For this reason, we have decided to create a list with all the Aspects that you will need to use in order for your Diablo 4 Mendeln Summoner Necromancer build to work as it should. Here is the complete list:

Finally, we close this article by giving you some advice on gems, elixirs, and potions for the Mendeln Summoner Necromancer build. As for elixirs and potions, we advise you to visit the alchemist often to increase the duration and effectiveness of both items. We advise you to rely on elixirs that allow you to increase your stats and gain more experience points for 30 minutes, as well as the Weak Assualt elixir that allows you to increase your Attack Speed by 7%. As for the gems, however, we advise you to rely on the following for your Necromancer:
- Weapon: Emerald for +#% Increased Vulnerable Critical Strike Damage
- Armor: Topaz for +#% Damage Reduction while Control Impaired
- Jewelry: Skull to help increase our armor for more damage mitigation
