We decided to provide you with some advice on the Diablo 4 best Necromancer leveling build, and we will do the same for the best endgame builds. Because there are so many choices and the best one depends on your playing style, we will discuss each of them in great detail in separate articles. Let's speak about the Blood Surge Necromancer build for Diablo 4 in this article after discussing the Exploding Shadow Mist build.
Diablo 4 Necromancer Blood Surge build explained
The Blood Surge build is one of the Diablo 4 builds that allows you to create a character that is resilient and capable of inflicting a high amount of damage to your opponents. Obviously, as you can guess directly from the name of the build, it mainly refers to the Blood Surge ability to defeat groups of enemies or for single objectives, it is very effective in both cases.
As for the defensive part of this Diablo 4 Necromancer Blood Surge build, we rely on Fortifying our life by stealing it from enemies, as well as thanks to the Blood Orbs that allow us to heal. To decrease the damage inflicted on us, we advise you to make use of the Decrepify skill, combined with the Iron Maiden skill which allows us to restore our Essence very quickly.
By now, it should be clear that paying great attention to talents is one of the most important components of developing a construct. It's critical to carefully choose the talents that best fit the build you want to construct because there are so many skills that may be applied to a class in Diablo 4. For usage with the Blood Surge Necromancer build in Diablo 4, the following skills are advised:
- Hemorrhage Level 5
- Enhanced Hemorrhage
- Initiate’s Hemorrhage
- Blood Surge Level 5
- Enhanced Blood Surge
- Paranormal Blood Surge
- Hewed Flesh Level 3
- Decrepify Level 1
- Enhanced Decrepify
- Abhorrent Decrepify
- Death’s Embrace Level 3
- Iron Maiden
- Enhanced Iron Maiden
- Abhorrent Iron Maiden
- Amplify Damage Level 3
- Gruesome Mending
- Coalesced Blood Level 3
- Tides of Blood Level 3
- Drain Vitality Level 3
- Corpse Tendrils Level 3
- Enhanced Corpse Tendrils
- Plagued Corpse Tendrils
- Bone Storm
- Prime Bone Storm
- Supreme Bone Storm
- Rathma’s Vigor
The skills listed above are the most important ones that you absolutely must learn if you want your Blood Surge Necromancer build to be effective and efficient. The following are a few more, nonetheless, that we still advise unlocking:
- Stand Alone Level 3
- Memento Mori Level 3
- Unliving Energy
- Imperfectly Balanced Level 3
The Paragon progression system, which gives you access to a wide range of talents for the Blood Surge build, can be entered after your character reaches level 50. In terms of stats like Damage, Intelligence, Resistance, and Life, it is advised that you prioritize Normal and Magic Nodes. As you gain levels, the Ghyphs' area of effect increases. As a result, if you can't meet the requirements, we don't recommend allocating more nodes. On the other hand, if you lack the necessary Glyph, you are free to equip any Glyph up until you do.
The Blood-drinker-Glyph will be utilized in the socket slot of the Starting board, and if the radius is large enough based on the Glyph level, you will gain the additional Intelligence necessary to receive the bonus modifier. For the Starting board, we will grab virtually every single Rare and Magic node possible. Once finished, you'll climb out of the board.
The Bloodbath board will be presented next. The Legendary node is what we are rushing here, and we are picking up every single Rare and Magic node along the way. As we proceed to the socket slot where we will insert the Territorial Glyph, the same process is followed; if the radius permits it, you will also pick up the extra nodes to obtain the bonus modifier.
In the Blood Begets Blood, our third board, we will put more of an emphasis on collecting the Rare and Magic nodes as well as the socket where we will put the Dominate Glyph than we did with our previous board. As always, you should take the extra bonus if the radius enables you to buy the required amount of willpower. Once these are collected, we will pick up the legendary node before moving to the right for the final board.
The Bone Graft board is the last one. Instead of grabbing the Legendary board right here, we're going to use this one instead because it gives us another socket and more Rare and Magic nodes. Prior to moving on to the socket in which we install the Sacrificial Glyph, it is advised that you first gather the Magic and Rare nodes on the upper side. The increased bonus in this case is not worthwhile of additional investments.
As far as game mechanics go, this build isn't hard to get the hang of. First, we recommend using the Blood Surge ability to eliminate weaker enemies and individual targets. If you are low on Essence, we recommend using the Iron Maiden skill, while for one-on-one fights, we recommend the Hemorrhage skill. Furthermore, we also recommend using the Decrepify skill to decrease the damage that enemies can deal.
For completeness, we tell you that it would be optimal to use the Blood Surge ability when you have at least four enemies around so that you can maximize your healing and use less Essence. For this reason, we advise you to collect enemies until you have reached the minimum recommended number and then you can use the skill.
Because it is more effective in your Blood Surge build, having a weapon that deals more overall damage should be your primary priority. If you locate a 1-handed weapon with a higher item power, keep in mind that it can perform better than a 2-handed weapon when used with an offhand or even a shield because shields scale your main-hand weapon by 80%. The statistics to be wary of are as follows:
- Helm
- + Life
- + Armor
- Chest
- + Life
- + Armor
- Gloves
- + Overpower Damage
- + Attack Speed
- Pants
- + Life
- + Armor
- Boots
- + Movement Speed
- + Essence Cost Reduction
- Amulet
- + Ranks of Tides of Blood
- + Essence Cost Reduction
- Rings
- + Life
- + Overpower Damage
- 1H Wand
- + Overpower Damage
- + Vulnerable Damage
- + All Stats
- Shield
- + Life
- + Essence Cost Reduction
