Match of the Week

Tribe vs. Immortals

King of the Hill is an exciting back and forth set with Jmonte kicking things off with a surprising win versus thegod_rf. Royal exacts revenge for his teammate with his Golem deck. B-rad takes the stage for Tribe and as expected, brings a Miner deck. This becomes one of the most exacting games of the week as B-rad barely scrapes away with a win after chipping away at Royal’s tower and barely surviving a Ram Rider push. B-rad takes the tower in overtime with his tower left at 7 health! Lapokati came out strong for Immortals and took down B-rad and Tommy to survive to the third set. Lapokati was put up against Nitram from Tribe in the 1v1 set and won 2-1 in a close series.

Sweeps

Cuchii Cuu of Team Queso swept NRG in King of the Hill after DarkAngel lost to Carter. Cuchii Cuu defeated Carter, ThunderStruck, and Hazard using his Golem, Battle Ram and even Graveyard Freeze decks.

SK Morten almost swept Fnatic in their match, beating Fei and Javi14. Mikel came out with the reverse sweep, defeating the powerhouses of SK; Morten, xopxsam, and Soking. Resulting in Fnatic winning the match 2-0 and Mikel climbing 37 ranks to number 5 in our 1v1 rankings.

Airsurfer swept Oxalate, Eddie, and Frost in the Complexity vs. Dignitas match, securing another victory for Complexity. Vulkan went on to sweep Cream in Complexity’s next match, defeating Jose Brayan, Flash, and Lince. This knocked Lince out of the top spot and earned Vulkan first place in our rankings.

Tribe’s Tommy swept through Team Liquid’s stacked roster of Surgical Goblin, Kanariooo, and Boeufmac. Game two versus Kanariooo is a must watch, a nailbiter of a match with Tommy’s Mortar deck facing off against a Lavahound Miner deck from Kanariooo.

Trainer Chris not only got his first win this week but also swept Dignitas in King of the Hill. Beating Oxalate, Eddie, and Frost brought the match to the third set that finished with an intense series between Wings and Frost, but this time Dignitas got the better of Misfits.
