The Pakistani midlaner will continue playing at Team Aster
Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan is a name that needs no introduction to those who are familiar with the professional Dota 2 scene. He has competed in some of the world’s biggest teams, including Evil Geniuses, Team Secret, and OG, leaving a lasting impact wherever he goes. Since May 2022, he has been a valuable asset to Nigma Galaxy’s roster. His recent appearance as a stand-in for Team Aster at the ESL One Berlin Major 2023 proved his worth yet again. He was a standout performer for the Chinese team, which managed to break into the Top 8 of the competition. SumaiL’s phenomenal performance in Berlin led to speculation that he would leave Nigma Galaxy soon, who currently plays in Division II, for a Division I team. Speculation has now become reality as Nigma Galaxy announced that SumaiL has left the club.

SumaiL will continue his journey with Team Aster until TI12, as per their official Weibo account. The team is also said to be in discussion with the 24-year-old over a long-term contract. As of now, it’s unclear where SumaiL will play after TI12 ends in October. It should not be difficult for him to find a new team, however, as SumaiL showed in the recently-concluded Berlin Major that he is capable of delivering at the highest level of competitive Dota 2.
