Following the most recent interview, it became clear that the Palworld profit is insane. Let’s learn more about it.
Palworld is a game that resembles Pokemon, so it’s probably not a surprise it became a huge success. A few months after its arrival, the game continues to dominate the charts and is one of the most popular options out there.
Currently, we live in a world where you can find mass layoffs in the gaming industry. Furthermore, there seems to be insane inflation in the prices spent by game students, which is why the latter are doing everything in their power to cut down their costs and make a profit. This is easier said than done, but judging from the Palworld profit, it is possible.
Palworld Profit
With more than 25 million players just a month after it became available, Palword is one of the world’s leading titles right now. Therefore, some people are probably not surprised by the fact that the game has brought in billions of yen in profit.
In a recent interview for one of the biggest news outlets, Takuro Mizobe, Pocketpair’s CEO, revealed that the game had around a $6.7M budget. This is a lot of money, but if you compare it to the budget of other big games, you know this is nothing.
What’s even more impressive about this amount is that marketing is also included. Just for comparison, games such as Spider-Man 2, for example, had a budget of around $315M.
Going back to the interview, the CEO of the company behind Palworld also said that the game has brought in billions of yen in profit. Interestingly, Mizobe also said that his game studio was not ready for such a large amount of money, and it would be difficult to put it to use. According to the information, the game studio wants to remain small and does not want to expand into some of the so-called AAA studios, where we have seen massive layoffs.
Besides talking about the Palworld profit, the CEO of the company said that he is open to acquisition offers. We would not be surprised if this happens because we have seen several big acquisitions in the last couple of years. Microsoft, for example, “bought” Blizzard Activison for an insane amount of money, so we would not be surprised if the company behind Palworld joined a big studio.
