Here are some of the Tank Ranking Tips for Season 6 in Overwatch 2 that you need to be aware of.
The Overwatch 2 Season 6 meta is pretty interesting because there are loads of good heroes right now. If you read the guide about how to counter the meta heroes, you will see that Orisa is one of the best options right now. There are not that many heroes that can counter this tank, so a lot of people go for it. With that said, there are other tanks that you can pick, and they are really strong.
After taking a look at some of the Overwatch 2 DPS ranking tips for Season 6, it’s time to do the same for tanks. A lot of people started mining this role after Overwatch 2 arrived, so let’s learn a thing or two about some of the popular heroes that you may not know.
Orisa
As mentioned earlier, Orisa is the best hero you can get in Overwatch 2 right now. This tank works in a lot of setups, it’s extremely hard to kill, and the damage output is almost as high as any DPS hero. Consequently, a lot of people are trying to come up with ways of countering it.
We believe that Blizzard will probably address this problem and release an update where they will nerf this hero. Until that happens, there are a few tank ranking tips for Season 6 that you can use if you want to win even more.
Perhaps the first and most important thing to remember is that it is okay to play aggressively. In fact, you should try and take more fights but keep track of your resources. Once you are close to overheating, you can use your spear until it cooldowns down, instead of starting with it. Doing this will increase your consistent damage output and make you more efficient.
Speaking of being efficient, Orisa is almost impossible to kill in Overwatch 2 Season 6 unless the enemies pick a specific combo to counter her. You should use this to your advantage but do not rely on it because you also need to know how to do damage.
D.Va
Despite the fact that D.Va was not the most popular hero in the last couple of seasons, it seems like she’s making a comeback in Season 6. The Overwatch 2 tank received some major buffs in the most recent update, making her one of the best heroes. However, some people are unfamiliar with what she’s capable of, so we wanted to provide a few Tank ranking tips for Season 6.
The most important thing to remember about the hero is that she does a lot more damage than most people think. In fact, we can safely say she’s one of the best damage dealers out of all tanks, so you have to try and use this to your advantage. Don’t be scared to try and push the enemy DPS and healers or dive in. The most recent buffs also give you invulnerability for a brief time if your mech dies, so you can be even more aggressive than before.
Junker Queen
One of the best overall tanks in Overwatch 2 needs no introduction. A lot of people have been focusing on Junker Queen since she became available in the game. However, there are a few tank players that probably do not realize what she’s capable of. That’s why this is the next name on our tank ranking tips for Season 6 of Overwatch 2.
Junker Queen is the type of tank that can easily dominate almost everyone in a 1v1 matchup. With the exception of Roadhog, she should be able to win duels easily, so always keep that in mind when playing with her.
Another thing to remember about Junker Queen is that she can “hook” targets that are difficult to kill. Although this is not easy, landing your knife on some of the meta DPS like Hanzo and pulling him towards you could be enough to win the team fight.
Although JQ is really good in Overwatch 2 Season 6, keep in mind that Orisa is better, so you should be careful when going up against her.
It probably goes without saying, but Season 6 is all about winning that first team fight. Therefore, do not be scared to use your shout offensively, especially if you are in a brawl or dive setup.
Reinhardt
Even though Reinhardt is a controversial pick in the current meta because some players find him boring, there’s no arguing he works in some setups. Truth be told, more people will prefer to pick Orisa over him in Overwatch 2 Season 6, but Rein has one big advantage – his mobility.
When talking about tank ranking tips for Season 6, we must remember that he can use his mobility to cut the distance between him and his opponents. Doing this will force them to focus on the tank, which will allow his teammates to jump in and do more damage. The bad news is that you need to be careful when you’re using Charge because you could die while doing it.
Ramattra
After being the best tank in Season 5, Ramattra is also a solid option for Season 6, despite the fact that he’s not that strong. He is a bit easier to kill than most other tanks, but the hero has one big advantage – his damage. It may seem obvious, but a lot of people forget that one of his best defenses is his offense, so that’s one of the tank ranking tips for Season 6 we want to address.
Ramattra shines when he has his ultimate up, so this should be your main focus when playing. It is not as easy to win games as before, but good Ramattra players can still carry their teams.
