This is a side quest that you can find in the Hideaway. However, it won’t be active until you hit a specific point in the main quest. You’ll have to get past the Back to their Origin quest in the main storyline! That might mean you’ll have to grind levels in FF XVI to get to this point and start working towards this item.

Once you’ve reached this spot in the game, you’ll need to head over to the Hideaway and talk to Joshua. He’ll give you a letter which starts the side quest off in full. It’s a fairly simple task, but it does have a few stages and a boss fight in it. This is how you can run through the quest to get the Founder’s Grasp in FF 16.

Where There’s a Will Side Quest

After talking to Joshua, head over to Tabor for the next step to get the Founder’s Grasp in Final Fantasy 16. You can likely use fast travel in FF 16 to make this a bit quicker! Once you’re there, enter a house and head over to the marker on your map for the Requietory. Then talk to the character here. They’ll give you another spot to head to before you get into the tougher section of the quest.

Defeat Simurgh to Get the Founder's Grasp in FF 16

The next area is south of where you are, Titan’s Wake. Once you reach here, you’re going to have to head into a boss fight! This isn’t the hardest one in the game, but it would benefit you to know most of the mechanics and best abilities well at this point.  You’re taking on Simurgh. It’s a boss character but one that’s easy to beat once you get the hang of their attacks.

This attacks in two main patterns, the first is tornado attacks. The second is a series of ground slams with electric shocks. The best strategy is to time your attacks around his attack patterns, and then roll in with some of the better abilities. It’s not too tough of a fight if you’ve been levelling up properly though.
