Find out how to get Pure Quartz in Palworld with our comprehensive guide

Palworld has been going strong for the past few weeks since its release! The game definitely has players hooked with its engaging gameplay. One such engaging aspect is farming and managing resources.

Pure Quartz is a resource you require mid-late game, around Level 35. In this article, we will walk you through the steps to obtain Pure Quartz, including farming locations, and the Pals that drop this valuable resource with a few tips and tricks here and there!

How to Get Pure Quartz in Palworld

In order to obtain Pure Quartz, you need to head towards the Astral Mountains. This cold region can be spotted in the northeast section of the map towards the very top. You need to make some preparations if you would like to make your mining easier.

If you do not want to freeze to death, wear a Tundra Outfit and Cold Resistant Pelt Arm to keep you warm, and take a Fire Pal. Other ways to tolerate the cold include keeping a handheld torch or standing near campfires. A flying mount can significantly decrease the commute time since it is a long journey to the Astral Mountains. Another option is to get them through Pals as drops!

Farming Locations

Exploring the Astral Mountains can give you an abundance of Pure Quartz. Make sure to unlock the fast travel points to travel back and forth. We have found that a metal axe may be the most efficient. We recommend the following areas to mine Pure Quartz.

Near the Land of Absolute Zero, head south to the coordinate to find a cluster of eight Pure Quartz crystals. Make your way north by the Pal Genetic Research Unit Tower entrance and find 9 more of these. Around the Pristine Snow Field, there is another set of nine Pure Quartz crystals in the northwest. Adjacent to the Unthawable Lake, nine Pure Quartz crystals are waiting to be collected towards the west.

If you make it to the Astral Mountains, you must be a high-level player and can afford to create a base around these minerals, which we strongly recommend. Deploying a transporting and mining pal will generate Pure Quartz and all you would need to do is collect them once in a while!

Pals That Drop Pure Quartz

Pure Quartz can be possible drops from Pal but so far, only three Pals can give you them!
They are Astegon, Frostallion Noct and Jetragon.

You can find Astegon Destroyed Mineshaft of the Volcanic Regions and at the No.3 Wildlife Sanctuary. As they are Dark pals, they will be weak to Ice or Dragon so consider taking pals of such elementals for best fighting chances!

Meanwhile, Frostallion Noct can only be obtained through breeding. Pair a Helzephyr and a Frostallion to get the Dark element pal and Pure Quartz as drops. We have discussed Jetragon locations in detail, so make sure to check that out! Use Ice type Pals to fight against it.

Why You Need Pure Quartz

Pure Quartz isn’t for beginners but it surely is a necessary resource later in the game. Once you reach Level 35, you will unlock Circuit Board in the technology menu. You need 4 Pure Quartz alongside 2 Polymer to make one CIrcuit Board

A Circuit Board is necessary to craft a lot of important technologies, such as Electric Coolers, Electric Furnaces, Jetragon’s Missile Launches, Refrigerators and Weapon Assembly Line II, to name a few.
