Fortnite Winterfest 2021: How To Get Icy Feet

Learn how to complete the icy feet challenge in Fortnite Chapter 3!

Fortnite’s latest Winterfest 2021 Quest is now live in-game, and it’s another that could be tricky to those unfamiliar with the game’s selection of holiday-themed items. We’ve been able to navigate challenges thus far, including those involving the Yule log, Snowball Launcher and Toy Biplanes. The previous three challenges bring us to the fourth of 15 total that Epic Games unveiled for this limited event.

Players logging into Fortnite today will see the Quest, requiring them to travel 200 meters with icy feet. There are two particular methods of achieving this, and we’ll show you how.

Chiller Grenades and Sneaky Snowman (pictured above in the middle and upper-right) are your keys to success for this Quest. The Chiller Grenade is the most straightforward way to give yourself frozen feet. You’ll need to find this throwable item in a Chest to achieve this. Their spawn rate is relatively high compared to the Snowball Launcher, so it shouldn’t be too challenging.

After finding a Chiller Grenade, your next step requires you to look at the ground and throw the item at your feet. Your feet will turn into ice blocks once the grenade explodes, allowing you to travel the 200 meters required to complete the Quest. Another method is to run around in a Sneaky Snowman until an enemy destroys your disguise. It’s more risky and challenging to accomplish but would ultimately produce the same outcome.

Tips & Tricks

The Chiller Grenade strategy is the ideal option, and there’s a way to finish the Quest in mere seconds. Once you have the item, travel to a steep hill nearby. Go to the top of the mountain, throw it at your feet and then run down the incline. That should net you the 18K XP reward.
