Fortnite: Wild Week 4 — Worth Its Weight In Gold

Spend your gold in the final Wild Week of Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 6.

The final week of Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 6 is underway. Most players are looking forward to another fresh start on Tuesday, June 8, where aliens will presumably invade the map. However, Season 6 still has some gas left in the tank. Epic Games introduced the “Wild Week” concept several weeks ago, where the developers would highlight one particular in-game element. Weeks one through three respectively emphasized fire, fishing and movement, increasing the number of relevant items that would spawn.

The final Wild Week focuses on Fortnite’s gold bar system, where players can spend their earnings luxuriously until the end of Season 6.

The Gold Standard

Epic Games introduced gold bars in Chapter 2 – Season 5. Players could acquire the new in-game currency by completing NPC quests, eliminating players or rummaging through beds, desks and other pieces of furniture. It’s fitting to see gold round out Wild Weeks, considering the number of players that have likely built up a massive bankroll over the season.

Starting June 3, Exotic weapons, upgrades, rifts and anything else you could imagine have had their prices slashed. Gold bars WILL NOT carry over to Chapter 2 – Season 7, so now is the time to drop into some matches and try out those items you’ve passed on to this point. The newer Exotic weapons include the Unstable Bow, Grappler Bow and Six Shooter Pistol. Others such as the Chug Cannon, Shadow Tracker and Hop Rock Dualies remain in the game.

Here are new costs of purchasable items and weapons per ShiinaBR:

  • Shadow Tracker Pistol: 200 Bars
  • Hop Rock Dualies: 250 Bars
  • Chug Cannon: 300 Bars
  • Grappler Bow: 250 Bars
  • Marksman Six Shooter: 200 Bars
  • Unstable Bow: 250 Bars

Wild Week #4 kicks off on June 3 and will run until Epic launches Chapter 2 – Season 7 on June 8. Be sure to queue into Fortnite and spend that gold while you can.
