Fortnite Battle Royale welcomes Olympic Snowboarder Chloe Kim to the Icon Series.
Epic Games’ ongoing Icon Series collaborations bring celebrities, athletes and artists into Battle Royale mode. There’s been no shortage of real-life characters to appear in the game. Recently, the Icon Series saw musicians Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak, and Tennis star Naomi Osaka enters the fray. Today, the developers announced another athlete would follow suit.
Today, Epic Games released a blog post to welcome 21-year-old professional Snowboarder Chloe Kim to the Icon Series. Kim is a decorated professional athlete who holds two Olympic gold medals in the winter sport. In 2017, she became the youngest woman to win a gold medal in this discipline. Beginning March 26, Kim will officially become an in-game Fortnite skin.

Chloe Kim Cup
Tournament season in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 kicks off March 24 with the Chloe Kim Cup. This competition mirrors past cosmetic tournaments, where top-performing players can unlock skins before entering the Item Shop. It follows the Duos format and will occur during Fortnite’s well-received “no-build” period. We’ll publish a full rundown of this tournament before it begins.
Penguin Peak Creative Hub
The latest component of Epic’s blog post covers Fortnite’s current Creative Hub, which sports a snow theme. Map designers Bradymano and Ejdubs brought to life a snowy experience for players to enjoy. You can check out this Creative Hub and Epic’s snow-themed map picks until March 30.
It’s an exciting time as another high-profile name enters the Icon Series. Epic seems to be ramping up its collaborations, so perhaps we can expect more soon. Be sure to check back with ESTNN for more Fortnite guides, news and updates!
