World Cup Champion Nyhrox has joined M10 Esports.
The Fortnite World Cup crowned three of the first-ever world champions in the ultra-popular Battle Royale title. One of the three players was Norway’s own Emil “nyhrox” Bergquist Pedersen. Along with former duo partner and organizational teammate, David “aqua” Wang, the dynamic duo bested 49 outstanding teams en route to winning $1.5M USD each. Nyhrox and aqua split up after the World Cup, and Nyhrox parted ways with COOLER Esport. Since then, Nyhrox has been searching for an organization that will suit his needs as a professional Fortnite player. It seems he's finally been able to find one.

In a Tweet posted earlier today, M10 eSports revealed a cinematic featuring Nyhrox and his World Cup Championship victory. The short video announcement concludes with Nyhrox answering a phone call from M10’s owner, followed by a view of Nyhrox in the M10 eSports jersey. It’s an exciting time for Nyhrox as he embarks on a new journey in competitive Fortnite.
This German-based organization currently possesses nine professional players and just acquired one of the high-profile free agents on the market. Initially established by the professional footballer, Mesut Ozil, in October of 2018, M10 eSports quickly jumped into the Fortnite atmosphere. The organization signed a slew of German players and one Austrian player between 2018 and 2019. The young Norweigan World Cup Champion is the newest member of M10 eSports and will be representing that at DreamHack Anaheim this weekend.

Most will know Nyhrox for his World Cup Championship run along with aqua, but Nyhrox has continued working hard at competitive Fortnite to this day. He performed exceptionally during the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 Fortnite Champion Series alongside Zino, itemm and Kinstaar. The solo career of Nyhrox is what stands out the most since the Fortnite World Cup. He took 19th place at the DreamHack Winter competition in Sweden and showed up at the AO Summer Smash 2020, where he took fourth place. It was only a matter of time before Nyhrox came to terms with an organization.
Nyhrox’s debut performance for M10 eSports will take place in just a few days. He will be looking to make an impact against players from across the globe as he continues to improve as a solo competitor.
