Fortnite Battle Royale’s Lantern Trials have begun. Learn everything you need to know here!

Seemingly out of the blue, Epic Games announced a brand new event that Fortnite players can participate in to earn free rewards and support various Middle Eastern content creators. Dubbed Lantern Trials, this event is similar to another North America-based event that occurred earlier this year. Participants must complete a basic set of tasks to collect the three in-game prizes up for grabs. Let’s get into the finer details and break down the Lantern Trials in their entirety.

What are the Lantern Trials? How to Collect Rewards

Like the Winter Trials from this past January, the Lantern Trials offer players free in-game items. Players will first need to register for the event before starting earning badges in exchange for those rewards. Here is the process you’ll need to follow:

  1. Register for the event on this website 
  2. Earn badges for every 40 minutes spent playing Solos, Duos, Trios or Squads in Fortnite
  3. 11 badges earned = all rewards unlocked

It’s worth noting that collecting badges based on in-game time would require about 7 hours of gameplay. The event began today, May 10, and will conclude on May 16. That gives players six days to earn 11 badges and the rewards at stake. Here are the prizes and how to get them:

  • Lantern Spray – Register for Lantern Trials (One Badge)
  • Enlightened Warrior Emoticon – Earn Six Badges
  • Lantern Glow Wrap – Earned 11 Badges

Content Creators Crossover

Epic Games has collaborated with ten Middle Eastern content creators, who will compete in their version on the Lantern Trials as chosen by the fans. Those who sign up on the Lantern Trials website can vote on challenges for the streamers. They have three options that vary in difficulty, as shown above, and the content creators need to follow those rules to earn points. Here are the personalities involved in Lantern Trials:
