Fnatic have completed their summer overhaul by bringing in Christopher “dexter” Nong and Aurélien “afro” Drapier

The starting five for fnatic is now complete with the official introduction of Christopher “dexter” Nong as the in-game leader and Aurélien “afro” Drapier as the AWPer, as announced by the team.

After successfully leading MOUZ for two years, the Australian caller has now joined Fnatic. This notable addition comes on the heels of MOUZ's recent accomplishment of securing a commendable second-place finish at IEM Dallas 2023.

During the off-season, MOUZ made the strategic decision to acquire Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek, a former academy player, due to his exceptional performance with GamerLegion. siuhy notably led his team to an impressive Grand Final run in the BLAST.tv Paris Major.

siuhy’s arrival at MOUZ created an opportunity for dexter to assume the leadership role at Fnatic, thereby freeing up William “mezii” Merriman to explore different roles and playstyles within the team structure.

With his move to fnatic on a free transfer, afro enters a new chapter in his career, stepping into uncharted territory as he joins an international squad for the first time. His arrival comes with the responsibility of filling the shoes of the benched Nico “nicoodoz” Tamjidi.

Following an impressive rise through the ranks alongside DBL PONEY and HEET, the French AWPer experienced a setback as LDLC disbanded their Counter-Strike division at the conclusion of the spring season, leaving him without a team.

The upcoming IEM Cologne Play-in serves as the first trial for fnatic in the fall season, and with the addition of the two players, the team is now fully equipped as they gear up for the tournament, slated to start on July 26.
