After Virtus.Pro decided to basically “release” their Dota 2 roster, Cyber Legacy took their spot at ESL One Germany.
ESL One Germany is going to be one of the most exciting Dota 2 tournaments in October. It will have a total of sixteen teams from Europe and CIS. Apart from fame and glory, this event will also provide players with a jaw-dropping prize pool of $400K USD.
Needless to say, this is a pretty substantial prize pool for an online event. As a result, we will see some of the best teams in the regions going head to head. Although it wasn’t supposed to be hard, ESL had a lot of issues finding sixteen squads.
The first problem for the organization emerged when Natus Vincere decided to acquire FlyToMoon’s roster. Although there is nothing wrong with that, FTM and Na’Vi were both directly invited to the event.
The new problem and its solution

Apart from the situation with Natus Vincere and FlyToMoon, one more CIS team also decided to withdraw their participation. This time, this is the mightly Virtus.Pro, a team that isn’t doing that well recently. After their decision to stop participating with their main roster, the squad had no choice but to skip this fantastic event.
In order to cope with those issues, ESL decided to invite Cyber Legacy. The team will take VP’s place in the event, which means that we will have one more slot in the qualifiers.
ESL One Germany will start on October 5 and it will continue until November 1. We will be able to watch a classic double-elimination playoff bracket, where some of the best teams in the world will go head to head.
