After waiting for several months, we finally received the newest Dota 2 update. As expected, there were tons of changes, such as a new hero, new items, and so on. Speaking of new items, one of the biggest changes to the game is the addition of Aghanim’s Shards.

This item will change the game because it either adds a new ability or upgrades some of the existing ones. This means that it works really similarly to Aghanim’s Scepter. However, it is a lot cheaper, which means that more heroes can purchase it, especially supports.

Even though it gives a lot of benefits, there are some disadvantages as well, such as the fact the item does not provide any stats. Despite that, it will definitely be one of the most popular item choices in Dota 2 for at least several months. Hence we’ve decided to take a look at some of the best Aghanim’s Shard upgrades.

Enigma

If you purchase an Aghanim’s Shard while playing Enigma, your Black Hole will do a non-interrupting pull towards its center in a 1200 AoE. In other words, you will have 3x the range of the regular Black Hole, which is just insane.

Even though the heroes can still use their spells while they are being pulled, this will ensure that they will stay in place, which will allow your team to deal as much damage as possible.

The good thing about Enigma is that the hero farms really fast compared to other supports, so it should be able to get the item fairly early on.

Alchemist

Alchemist is the fastest-farming heroes in the game, which is why we decided to add him to the list. Even though we rarely get to see Alchemist support, this will probably change because the newest update allows the hero to receive a new ability called Berserk Potion.
