Dota 2: Team Singulartiy Reveals New Roster

Team Singularity today revealed its brand new roster for the upcoming season through an official press release.

The Tier two Dota teams have always been a rather controversial topic. In fact, many people tend to criticize Valve for the fact that they believe that the gaming giant is doing enough to support this scene. There were expectations that this will change with the new DPC season, but, so far, there has been little headway in that regard.

Thankfully, there are other tournament organizers out there which are trying to provide decently sized prize pools in for the tier two teams. One such event is the upcoming WePlay! Reshuffle Madness.

Team Singularity Reveals New Roster

Last DPC season was not the best for the team, which almost always means that teams will make changes. From now on, Jerry “EGM” Lundkvist, the TI 3 champion with Alliance, and Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov will no longer be a part of Team Singularity. Fans could see the writing on the wall after the end of the TI 9 qualifiers.

“It’s been a rough season, we had ups and downs, but in the end, it wasn’t enough for me, the players and the organization.” said the teams’ manager Noah Eingenheer. In his official statement, he continues saying how the team just lost motivation to play at one point. That said, the good thing is that they concluded on good terms.

Malthe “Biver” Winther and Oliver “oliver” Lepko were the ones who were to join the new roster. Unfortunately, they decided to join a new North American team that the organization has yet to reveal.

With those two out of the picture, Team Singularity decided to go for the following roster:

  1. Steve ‘Excalibur’ Ye
  2. Anas ‘MagE-’ Hirzallah
  3. Jonáš ‘SabeRLight-’ Volek
  4. Dino ‘dnz’ Šavuk
  5. Petu ‘Peksu’ Vaatainen

Even though Bicer and Oliver did not join, we still have some very well-known names. Anas “MagE-” Hirzallah, for example, used to be one of the highest-rated MMR players at one point.

Finally, if you want to see the new lineup in action, be sure to watch the GG. Bet Hamburg Invitational. In addition, the newly formed team will also play in WePlay!’s event in just a couple of days from now.
