Even though the full team roster was back, OG failed to impress.
Generally speaking, OG is considered as one of the best teams in the world. However, their most recent performances have not been all that good and ESL One Birmingham Online confirmed it once more. Despite the fact that the team’s full roster was finally back after a few months, they collapsed against Ninjas in Pyjamas.
What happened?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, OG wasn’t able to play with its full roster for almost three months. In fact, prior to this event, the last match when OG played as five was in February.
Now, although they are back, Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan and Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng had a lot of problems due to their huge latency. Needless to say, this didn’t allow them to play properly.
So, despite having an amazing roster, OG wasn’t able to achieve anything. As a result, they’ve lost four series in a row. The last nail in the coffin was from NiP, who won with a score of 2-1.
Even though OG had a better draft in game one, NiP controlled the game since the very beginning. As a result, their DK and Morphling managed to get a lot of farm and eventually got out of control.
After the loss, OG tried to bounce back in the second game of the series but their efforts were futile. Ninjas in Pyjamas played another amazing game and managed to win, ensuring the elimination of the two-time TI champions.
Be sure to watch the remaining matches of the ESL One Birmingham Online. Needless to say, all of them will be amazing. For more Dota 2 and esports news, follow ESTNN on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
