As expected, the two European powerhouses will receive the top seeds.
Although it’s not included in the DPC, the BLAST Bounty Hunt Dota 2 is an event that will bring together some pretty big Dota 2 names. With a prize pool of around $145K USD, we can definitely expect to see some epic series.
However, there are still a couple of days until it begins. So, let’s take a look at some interesting aspects of this tourney.

Six of the best teams in Europe received an invite for this tournament. An interesting fact is that this is BLAST’s first attempt to organize such a big event. However, instead of being a normal Dota 2 tournament, this one will resemble Midas Mode. As a result, you can find a lot of new features that will make everything just a bit more interesting. Nevertheless, it might not appeal to everyone, so keep that in mind.
Here are the teams that will be there:
- Team Secret
- Nigma
- Ninjas in Pyjamas
- Team Liquid
- Alliance
- OG

One of the main features of this tournament is the way in which the team has a different bounty. Needless to say, each win is really important in order for a team to keep the money that it managed to accumulate.
This is where OG and Team Secret receive a special reward. They are the only two teams that will receive the top seeds. Apart from the fact that they will start at $20K USD, they will also be placed directly in semi-finals of the upper bracket.
In comparison, all other teams will begin from the first round of this bracket. Also, they will only start with $15K USD, which will make a difference. Despite that, those teams are very strong, so it will be really interesting to see what will happen.
Make sure to watch this pretty unique event because it’s surely going to be extremely fun. Since it’s online, you can watch it live on Twitch in three different languages:
- English
- Russian
- Portuguese
The event itself will take place between June 9 and 13. If you want to learn more about this or some of the other upcoming events, make sure to follow ESTNN. Apart from Dota 2, we also cover numerous other esports.
