Dota 2 Crownfall dropped today, and it has a lot to offer. Here is what you should know about the Overlord map.

The long wait is over because Dota 2 Crownfall is here. Valve decided to release their new update and introduce a lot of new things, including two new Arcanas. Aside from that, however, there is a new quest mode that you can complete.

If you decide to take part in Dota 2 Crownfall Overlord map, you will have to play with a specific hero and earn tokens. The latter will unlock parts of the story, and you can win different rewards, such as coins for the store, treasures, and more.

Here is everything you need to know about it.

Dota 2 Crownfall Overlord

To learn more about the new event, you will have to go to the Dota 2 client. Once the main screen loads up, you will see the first act of the specific story. This is where you need to enter the Overlord map.

What’s interesting is that the Dota 2 Crowfall Overlord Map has a different patch for each player. Each path will require you to have a specific token, and your goal is to get it. But how does that work? Keep reading to find out more.

How to Get the Dota 2 Crownfall Overlord Map Tokens?

To get Overlolrd Tokens, you will have to play with the specific hero that is shown on the map. Depending on the situation, you may be able to play with a specific hero more than once, and some of them will actually double the points you get.

Besides playing, you will have to win the match with a specific hero to get the token you want. People who lose the game will receive a random token. In terms of the modes, you can choose from several options, but keep in mind that Turbo matches will receive two tokens when winning and one when losing.

These Dota 2 Crownfall Overlord Map tokens will be at your disposal until you use them to unlock the next stage of the path.

Overlord Map and Rewards

The good news about the Overlord Map is free for all players, so there is no need to spend any money. The different quests have their own dialogues, and once you complete them, you can win 5 different rewards:

• Gifts – Valve will give you access to 14 gifts for free. These gifts include random rewards, such as emoticons, voice lines, and the infamous MMR tokens. You can also receive sprays and different types of loading screens. 
• Candy Snack – Once you start progressing through the Overlord map, you can win up to 21 Candy stack for free. People who’ve played Diretide will recognize those things immediately, and they will work the same way. You can exchange them for different sets or re-roll them and get new ones.
• Coins – Playing in this event will give you access to up to 15 coins for free. Once you receive 10, you can go to the Crownfall store and get a discount when purchasing different things. Speaking of the devil, our team found that the discount can reach up to $10, which is impressive.
• Treasures – You will have access to two free treasures with different sets and forms. If you want to get more, you will need to spend money in the store.
• Unlocking styles – Completing quests will also allow you to unlock one style for free. Once you complete the final Crownfall quest, you will receive a special mythical set for Invoker.

Other Rewards

People who are ready to spend some money on the Dota 2 Crownfall Overlord Map will have access to two additional side quests. They are not related to the main ones, but if you decide to get them, you can get two additional styles for the new Invoker set.

Besides the new styles, these quests will also offer you the following prizes:

• Special sprays and loading screens
• 20x Candy snack

• 5 double-down MMR tokens

Getting Your Hands on the Crownfall Arcanas

One of the focuses of the new Dota 2 Crownfall update is the two new Arcanas for Vengeful Spirit and Skytwrath Mage. We expected to see these rewards for free or at least that Valve would offer us a way to get them without paying, but this is not the case. People who want to get their hands on them will have to spend money. The good news is that there is a discount if you also use your Crownfall points.

As mentioned in our previous article, we have mixed feelings about the new update. On the one hand, Dota 2 Crownfall offers a fun experience, but on the other, it did not drop alongside the much-awaited update. This means we will have to wait until we have access to Ringmaster, one of the most anticipated new heroes.
