Dota 2: Chaos E.C. Officially Welcome MATUMBAMAN

Chaos E.C. have made the announcement official. Lasse Aukusti ‘MATUMBAMAN’ Urpalainen will be joining the team’s active roster.

Team Liquid's decision to drop Matumbaman from their line-up came as shock to many Liquid fans. Earlier this week they announced Aliwi ‘w33’ Omar as Matumbaman's replacement, w33 was previously playing with Chaos.
Liquid debuted their new roster at the EPICENTER Major today.

Chaos E.C. hinted at Matumbaman's arrival in a post to Twitter, just a few hours before the official announcement.

It hasn’t been the easiest season for Liquid. After their performance at ESL One Birmingham, Team Captain Kuroky suggested Liquid’s drafting and hero pool had become too predictable.

Chaos E.C. explained their reasons for bringing on Matumbaman, “one way to build a balanced team is through the careful combination of youth and experience.”

As a former TI winner, Matumbaman has plenty of experience under his belt. He’ll be able to bring a veteran’s mind to Chaos’ strats.

W33's skill and versatility as a solo-mid player are highly praised as well.

The trade may just be what both teams need to reinvigorate their rosters.
