Diablo 4 World Bosses Spawn Times and Locations

Diablo 4 has added to its game modes the possibility of being able to fight against the bosses of the world, as also explained in this article. Being part of dynamic and random events, world bosses have a spawn time to take into account and it is not possible to fight them when we want. If you are looking for a challenging challenge to live with your friends and you have decided to come across these very powerful boss fights, this article will surely be useful for you to understand when and where to look for the three world bosses which include Ashava, Wandering Death and Avarice.

How do world bosses work in Diablo 4?

In Diablo 4, world bosses are optional bosses that players can kill in specified sections of the game for large amounts of rare gear and typically a unique reward. World bosses are not essential to complete the game, but they do provide a new mechanic and challenge for players that want to test their abilities and play with other users. Note that they appear at pre-determined spawn times and have a pre-determined level. Thirty minutes before the boss spawns, all players will receive a warning on their displays, along with their spawn position. However, it is possible to see this notification only if you have already completed the main campaign; you will still be able to fight these bosses if you still have to finish the story, but you will need to search for them as you won't be getting a notification with the spawn location.

These boss fights are intended to be nearly impossible to conquer alone, which is why a maximum of twelve people can join in the fight, similar to raid battles in MMORPG games, and the game will provide a recommended level for the player to take on the task. Because these bosses spawn at regular intervals, it is feasible to keep beating them as they appear, but the unique loot that comes with each monster can only be obtained once. They have more health than other bosses, and their health bars are split into even more phases, which are still highlighted by red arrows.

World bosses spawn times and locations

We have said that the world bosses have a spawn time and a pattern that they respect. Typically, world bosses spawn every six hours or so on average, following these times:

  • 3:30 AM – 5:30 AM PDT
  • 9:30AM – 11:30AM PDT
  • 3:30PM – 5:30PM PDT
  • 9:30PM – 11:30PM PDT

Another very important thing to report to all those who intend to take the path of defeating these very dangerous bosses is the pattern with which these bosses spawn. For the moment, the pattern followed is of the 3-2-3 type: three spawns in a row for Wandering Death, two for Avarice, and three for Ashava.

As for where Ashava, Avarice, and Wandering Death spawn, we currently know of five different locations: Caen Adar, The Crucible, Saraan Caldera, Seared Basin, and Fields of Desecration. As explained above, those who have already completed the campaign can receive a notification with the location where the boss will spawn, all others will have to keep track of previous spawns on this Twitter account.
