CS:GO: ImAPet Reportedly Joining 100 Thieves as Coach

ImAPet may be on his way to 100 Thieves.

100 Thieves are set to add Chet “ImAPet” Singh as Head CS:GO Coach, as per a report from DBLTAP. The former Evil Geniuses coach was released from the organization earlier this month. He spent nearly two years with the roster’s core. 100 Thieves are in need of a coach after their release of Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunović earlier this week.

Trophies With EG

Chet “ImAPet” Singh acted as coach for Counter Logic Gaming and OpTic Gaming before joining NRG Esports in May of 2018. After ImAPet’s addition, NRG placed second at StarSeries Season 5 and found victories at IEM Shanghai and cs_summit 3. Furthermore, they continued to climb up the global rankings with semi-final finishes at ESL One New York 2018 and StarSeries Season 6.

NRG maintained consistent top-four finishes at big events throughout 2019, including the StarLadder Berlin Major. The team, along with ImAPet, left NRG in favor of Evil Geniuses in September of 2019. Under the EG banner, the team took strong victories at ESL One New York and StarSeries Season 8, and briefly stood as the number-one ranked team in the world.

ImAPet parted ways with Evil Geniuses in early April, citing internal issues as the reason for his departure. Now, the 23-year-old looks to join 100 Thieves, taking over the head coach position from Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunović.

Kassad Leaves 100 Thieves

Kassad boasts a long history with the 100 Thieves core. He originally signed with Renegades as a coach in January of 2017. Under Kassad’s leadership, Renegades managed a quarter-final finish at StarSeries Season 4 and a 5-6th place finish at IEM Sydney 2018.

Renegades removed Kassad in May of that year, though he rejoined just a few months later. In his second stint with the team, Renegades reached the quarter-finals of the IEM Katowice Major and the semi-finals of the StarLadder Berlin Major. Now playing under the 100 Thieves name, the organization announced Kassad and the team “mutually agreed” to part ways earlier this week.

Finally, ImAPet’s move to 100 Thieves is yet to be confirmed. 100 Thieves are currently competing in ESL One: Road to Rio Americas. Additionally, their next game is slated for Saturday, May 2.
