CS:GO: FaZe Reportedly Targeting Bymas To Replace Olofmeister

The teenager may be getting his big break with FaZe.

FaZe Clan is targeting 16-year-old Lithuanian player Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras to join their CS:GO roster, according to a report from DBLTAP. The young player will replace Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer, should he join the active lineup.

Who is Bymas?

Bymas is fairly inexperienced, having not yet represented a professional organization in his Counter-Strike career. The teenager does play in the European FACEIT Pro League though. Here, he has found high placings while playing against some of the best CS:GO talents in the world. Long-time FaZe Clan player Nikola “NiKo” Kovač mentioned Bymas in a 2019 interview, where he stated he believed the young talent was going to be a “big thing” in CS:GO.

Bymas will reportedly join the team on a trial basis, replacing Olofmeister, who recently revealed his decision to step away from competitive CS:GO. Olofmeister has been with FaZe Clan since 2017. He's won ESL One New York 2017, EPICENTER 2018, BLAST Pro Series Miami, and many more events with the team. The 28-year-old stepped down temporarily due to fatigue.

If Bymas links up with the team, he could make his debut under the FaZe Clan banner later this month. The team is set to play in DreamHack Masters Spring Europe.
