René “cajunb” Borg returns to North this week for the first time since 2018.
Ex-OpTic rifler René “cajunb” Borg has officially returned to North. This will be his second tenure on the Danish squad, as he spent a year with the organization before being released in January of 2018. Borg will replace newly-benched star player Valdemar “valde” Bjørn Vangså, where rumors have surfaced that Vangså might make the more to Dota 2 organization OG's first venture into CS:GO.

Active since 2013, Borg has represented a number of well-known organizations, including TSM, Astralis and OpTic Gaming. After his departure from Astralis, the rifler played under the Dignitas banner, aiding them in a victory at EPICENTER Moscow in 2016. North immediately picked up the Dignitas roster in January of 2017 and went on to win DreamHack Open Montreal in September of that year. His most recent ventures have taken him to North America, where he played on a struggling Cloud9 roster for mere months before the NA powerhouse released him. Borg's brief return to OpTic Gaming proved fruitless, as the team crashed out of both ESL One New York and DreamHack Masters Malmö. Borg has now completed a transfer to North.
Cajunb to Take Valde's Place
The rifler will fill the vacancy left by star rifler Valdemar “valde” Bjørn Vangså, who analysts widely consider to be one of the best Danish talents. Vangså leaves North as rumors circulate of OG, an originally Dota 2 organization, is set to enter the Counter-Strike scene. The majority of the rumors place Borg a core player on the team.
I am super thrilled to be back in @TheNorthIsHere! Looking forward to grind alot with these guys. Thanks to the @OpTicGaming guys aswell for a great time, I wish them best of luck in the future!
