The Cloud9 vs Leviatán match will be the first lowers series where both teams fight in an elimination bracket

This series is going to kick off the lower bracket of the Playoffs, where losing means elimination. Both of these squads are coming from upsets, especially Cloud9, as the best North American roster from the Regular Season faced domination against Evil Geniuses. On C9 and Leviatán’s previous Bo3, the Chilenas couldn’t find an answer to the powerful appearance of leaf and runi. However, with the North American duelist looking weak in his recent matchup, this can be anyone’s game.

Very few people expected Cloud9 to face such a humiliating defeat against Evil Geniuses, especially after coming from an 8-1 run in the Regular Season. Ieaf didn’t look like his regular self in that game, which can be bad news for the squad if their star duelist fails to continue his rhythm in the lowers. Nonetheless, we see them winning out against Leviatán by going back to their dominating spirit in this matchup.

Even though they faced a 1-2 defeat in their first Playoffs match, the Chileans got dominated in two of the maps by FURIA – a bad sign when you have to face a much tougher opponent waiting next in the line. Leviatán will need Tacolilla to step up alongside kiNgg as well as try to pick Bind to stand a chance against Cloud9, and even then, we don’t expect them to come out as victorious.
