Even though we’re just one day away from the start of the Bukovel Minor, another big tournament is about to end. The first season of the China Dota 2 Professional league started October of 2019. Now, four months later, the eight weeks of this amazing tournament is finally over.
Let’s take a look at what happened during that time and who is currently first on the leader board.

Vici has proven itself as the best Chinese Dota 2 team right now. Apart from dominating the international scene, they are also doing the same on their home ground. In fact, they haven’t lost a single game during the last two weeks, which is absolutely astonishing.
After ripping through their enemies last week, Vici had only one challenge now – Team Aster. Although Song “Sccc” Chun and his team are playing very well, it was just not enough to bring down the ONE Esports World Pro Invitational Champs. Vici delivered their knock-out punch just in two games that lasted for 40 minutes each.
Following their success, they are now first in the Group Stage. In fact, they have the same exact score as PSG.LGD – 15 wins and 4 losses.
iG is back
The second team that stood out during the eight weeks was Invictus Gaming. After going through a series of roster changes, this team is now finally back on its feet. Although many people don’t believe in them, their performance speaks for itself.
Invictus Gaming only lost one series this week and it was versus Team Aster. However, even then, they played very well and nearly snatched the victory. Nevertheless, Sccc and his incredible Viper were able to secure the win for his team.
After their performance, iG is currently in fourth place in this tournament. However, this doesn’t mean that they will go to the upper bracket. After all, there are still more series to go.
Team Aster has what it takes to win
We can safely say that this team came a long way. After being just another Chinese team, Team Aster made a series of roster changes. As a result, they now have a very capable squad that is very ambitious. No wonder they managed to qualify for the Leipzig Major.
Similar to iG, Aster played pretty well during the eighth week in this League. In fact, they only lost to Vici Gaming, which was expected because they are just too good right now.
It will be very interesting to see what will happen to this team in the future. Who knows, we might see them among the top five teams in the upcoming Major.
Be sure to watch the start of the Bukovel Minor tomorrow. Eight of the best teams in the world will be playing for the lion’s share of the $300K USD prize pool. Needless to say, this will be an amazing tournament for every single Dota 2 fan out there.
