CCNC To Stand In For EG At ESL One Hamburg

The tail-end of 2018 seems to be the time of stand-ins, first, we had Dendi play for Team Secret with past team-mate Puppey. Now Quinn “CCnC” Callahan will be playing mid-lane for EG due to delays in the visa of their current mid player Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan.

Quinn had recently played The International 2018 with team Optic. A team put together by former EG position 5 player and captain Peter “PPD” Dager under the guise of “Team Dire” that later got picked up by the organization Optic Gaming. The team managed to qualify and landed in a respectable 7-8th position. Quinn had also been invited previously to the International 2017’s analyst desk as a part of the English talent, he shared his insightful knowledge about the game along with his post-game analysis. He met his future teammates on the desk in Per Anders Olsson “Pajkatt” and was later joined by Ludwig “Zai” Wåhlberg and Peter “ppd” Dager as their team EG got disqualified.

CCnC recently left Optic and joined Pain X, a subsidiary of pain gaming where he will be playing his preferred position in the mid lane.

Pain X’s dreams for the ESL One Hamburg were cut short by Complexity Gaming who won against them in the qualifier, but it looks like CCnC will be getting another chance to get revenge. This time with an arguably stronger roster.

The ESL One Hamburg will be kicking off with a group stage match on Tuesday, October 23 at 6:00 AM EST. Although EG won’t be able to face Complexity due to them being in group A and complexity is in group B, it will be interesting to see how Quinn adjusts to his temporary team.
