Apex Legends Urban Assault Collection Event Everything We Know About It

Season 20 has been a party for Apex Legends. Apex has been getting back-to-back events all season long. Apex Legends Urban Assault Event may be the best one coming to the game yet.

After a disappointing Season 19, Apex Legends Season 20 has more than made up for the setback. Season 20 has been getting new events since the Season launched. The last event, Shadow Society was a huge letdown, however. Like Season 20 as a whole, Urban Assault is looking to make up for the recent disappointment.

Urban Assault is coming to Apex Legends on April 23. It is bringing along a brand new game mode called Apex Rumble. It is also bringing back the fan-favorite mode Three Strikes. We will be going through everything Urban Assault is bringing to the game. Finally, the event will give Octane his Prestige Skin, The Riptide.

Apex Legends Urban Assault Collection Event LTMs

The upcoming Urban Assault Collection Event in Apex is set to last for a period of two weeks, starting on April 23rd and ending on May 7th. During this event, the much-loved Limited Time Mode (LTM), Three Strikes, will be making a comeback. However, there are a few new tweaks being introduced to the game mode to keep it feeling fresh and exciting. These changes have been detailed in the mid-season patch notes and players can look forward to experiencing them firsthand. These changes are:

  • Revive time reduced to 2.0s
  • Players revived with 100% health and 0% shields
  • New minimum guaranteed loot system – ensures you respawn with a competitive version of your loadout and inventor

Three Strikes is a beloved game mode because of how it lets you be as aggressive as you want to be without a big penalty. Once a player is knocked down, they become invincible to damage. A player can only be eliminated if their entire squad is knocked down and therefore eliminated. When a team is eliminated, they get one strike. The entire team is then respawned immediately. This happens three times or Three Strikes as the game mode states. You come back with all your loot, armor, weapons, and attachments.

Apex Rumble [Beta]

The Apex Rumble Beta is a competitive format where players can test their skills. This tournament system is asynchronous, which means that players can join at any time. Points are rewarded based on performance metrics such as placement, kills, assists, and damage. The Urban Assault Rumble features Three Strikes matches where individual prowess is emphasized without pre-made squads. This will be the first time after years that Apex will have a Solo Mode. If players are not satisfied with their points, they can use Legend Tokens to reset their scores and re-enter the fray (Legend Tokens are finally getting more use yay). Keep an eye out for the kick-off dates, which will be announced via Apex Legends’ social channels.

Apex Legends Urban Assault Items

Urban Assault is bringing along 24 new items you can collect. Getting all the items will give you the Apex Riptide Prestige skin for Octane. These 24 items include legend skins, gun skins and holo sprays. We will be going over some of our favorite ones to come out of the event.

The Legends skins are based on street fashion and all have cool aesthetics. Each skin also has some details based on the Legend’s lore.

Wraith Skin

The latest skin for the Wraith character in the event is a stunning portrayal of a contemporary ninja. The skin exquisitely captures Wraith's sporty and energetic nature with its vibrant red cropped jacket and baseball hat. The design also incorporates two sleek blades on Wraith's back that perfectly complement her ninja persona, further adding to the skin's overall appeal.

Loba Skin

The Loba skin is a spectacular addition to Loba's character model, featuring a brand new hairstyle that has not been seen before. The skin also comes with a set of impressive features that add to its appeal. One of the most notable changes is the addition of gun holsters on Loba's thighs, which is a unique and visually striking addition. Additionally, the skin includes a first-person model with eye-catching red gloves that make Loba's character model stand out even more.

Valkyrie Skin

Valkyrie is seen sporting a unique streetwear fit that blends traditional Samurai aesthetics with modern-day fashion. Although all the characters wear masks, Valkyrie stands out with her Oni mask which not only adds an element of mystery but also showcases her Japanese heritage. Moreover, she has a headband that sets her apart from the other Legends and reminds us of the Samurais. The attention to detail in Valkyrie's outfit is remarkable and truly represents her fearless and bold personality.

R-99 Skin

The R-99 gun has been designed to match the Loba skin, and it looks absolutely stunning. The combination of red and black on the skin creates a bold and powerful appearance that draws inspiration from the sleek lines and vibrant colors of a high-performance race car. Looking at it, one can almost imagine the gun propelling bullets forward with lightning-fast speed, leaving a trail of fire in its wake. Overall, the R-99 and Loba skin make for a perfect match that is sure to make any player stand out on the battlefield.

Alternator Skin

The Alternator skin is a fantastic addition to the game and is a tie-in with the Valkyrie skin. The skin boasts Valkyrie's name in an eye-catching font, giving it an impressive aesthetic. The skin's design is reminiscent of flames, which makes it look like it's on fire and adds a fierce element to the game.

Octane Prestige Skin: Apex Riptide

The Apex Riptide is one of the best looking Prestige skins added to the game. The skin is based on Octane’s love of sharks. Each tier of the skin looks great with different features of a shark highlighting each tier. The final tier gives Octane a hammerhead shark helmet. The skin also comes with one of the best finishers a Prestige skin comes with. The finisher highlights Octane’s high adrenaline personality. Finally, Riptide has a diving trail. The dive trail gives Octane two adorable sharks that dive by his side.

Urban Assault is set to be a great collection event. It features amazing skins and items. Urban Assault is also introducing a new system to the game, something the Apex has needed for a long time. The return of Three Strikes is also a welcome one as it is one of the best Apex has ever offered.
