Where are Copenhagen Major Stickers? ECSTATIC Co-Owner Makes Surprising Claim

Copenhagen Major stickers are surprisingly still not here! ECSTATIC co-owner Oliver “zipeL” Behrensdorff claims to know why the much awaited CS2 Major cosmetics have been delayed

The Copenhagen Major is in full swing! We've already enjoyed three days of intense CS:GO action, and the tournament will soon see the teams battle it out in front of the electric Royal Arena crowd. However, a glaring omission dampens the Counter-Strike festivities: the Copenhagen Major stickers are still unreleased, even though the tournament has already started. What's causing the delay? While Valve remains tight-lipped about the release date and the reason behind the hold-up, ECSTATIC co-owner Oliver “zipeL” Behrensdorff claims to have the inside scoop on the delay.

Why are Copenhagen Major Stickers Delayed?

According to ECSTATIC co-owner Oliver “zipeL” Behrensdorff, the wait for the Copenhagen Major stickers stems from Valve requiring players to redesign their autographs at the tournament. Behrensdorff anticipates their release “soon.”

“Stickers are delayed because Valve wanted every player who had anyone help them design their stickers physically redo them here at the Major. They should therefore go on sale soon,” zipel wrote on X.

“Honestly, from Valve's perspective, maybe they’re worried designers sneak in any commercial logo etc, the decision does make sense, in my opinion. Maybe a bit confusing with how loose they’ve been in previous Majors, but it’s Valve, after all. Not too upset about it personally.”

The 2024 PGL Copenhagen Major is the first Counter-Strike Major in history that did not release stickers before the start of the tournament. This delay is attributed to Valve's recent update to their player signature policy. Previously, players had more flexibility in designing their in-game sticker signatures. However, for the Copenhagen Major, Valve implemented stricter guidelines requiring handwritten signatures with limitations on excessive embellishments or commercially used fonts.

The Old One
When he's not sighing at sub-standard teammates in Dota 2 and CS2, The Old One is writing about those two games (among other things). If you see his name around the site too many times for your liking, well, the guy just never stops writing. Yes, we've tried an intervention.
