Warzone switched to Modern Warfare 4 at midnight ET on November 6, 2026 (9 p.m. PT on November 5), and it left the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One behind. Progression carries over if you sign in with the same linked Activision account on a supported platform. Nintendo Switch 2 gets Warzone with the season.

The new maps: Hajin and Zodiac
Hajin is the new Battle Royale map. It runs across the North and South Korean sides in 13 major points of interest, among them Hajin City’s central districts, Imjin Farmland, the 14th Political Prison, Chang-san Air Base and Deadtown. Weather cycles through clear skies, fog, wind, rain and distant storms. If you dropped into Hajin in DMZ, expect changes. The gas moves as an edge circle, the Hanuel Nuclear Reactor has no radioactive cloud, and loot caches sit in different places. A knocked-out squad gets the Hajin Gulag, a 1v1 duel on one of two symmetrical arenas, to redeploy.
Zodiac is the new Resurgence map, built around a drone assembly plant run by DRC Advanced Systems. Its ten points of interest are Admin, Trackline, Furnace, Solar, Old Mines, Dispatch, Depot, Sentinel, Cooling and R&D. Trackline has a double railway with moving trains. Solar has moving panels, and Furnace has conveyor belts and explosive fuel barrels. Beenox built it with Infinity Ward.
Verdansk and Rebirth Island come back during the season, with no date. The post’s map section calls both in-season, yet its mode list already puts them in Battle Royale and Resurgence, so launch-day availability is unclear.
Modes: Resurgence, Massive Resurgence and Rally Point
| Mode | Map | Max players | What changes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Battle Royale and Casual | Hajin, Verdansk | Not stated | Standard format |
| Resurgence and Casual | Zodiac, Rebirth Island | Not stated | Standard format |
| Rally Point | Zodiac | 20 | No circle, endless Resurgence with drop-in and drop-out; Neutral Grounds allow alliances of up to 4 |
| Massive Resurgence | Hajin | 120 | Resurgence Countdown, Wipe Out and Survive |
| Loaded Resurgence | Zodiac or Rebirth Island | 44 | Deploy with your Loadout, keep weapons after death, earn perks toward Specialist |
Massive Resurgence is the 120-player Hajin version. Rally Point pays out one exclusive weapon Blueprint and two camos. Extreme Resurgence and Rockets and Snipers arrive mid-season, again without dates.
The 18 perks
Fifteen perks are selectable across three Loadout slots, and the three Elite Perks only turn up in a match, at Buy Stations and through Supply Run Contracts. Tactical Sprint no longer needs a perk at all, though its duration is slightly shorter.
| Slot | Perks |
|---|---|
| Slot 1 | Field Medic, Hunter, Stocked, Incognito, Surveyor |
| Slot 2 | Mountaineer, Adaptive, Scavenger, Drill Instructor, Deft Hands |
| Slot 3 | Berserker, Quick Fix, Survivor, Tempered, Wingman |
| Elite (fourth slot, one at a time) | Athleticism, Phantom, Fieldcraft |
Zipline Launcher, Grabber Drone and the augments
The Zipline Launcher drops two anchors and strings a line between them. It stays up until someone retrieves or destroys it. Enemies can ride it too, and you can fire a pistol while sliding along. The Grabber Drone lifts loot, loose objects and Operators, which includes pulling a downed teammate toward a revive, but its battery is limited. Seven field upgrades are new in total, six return, and there are six new killstreaks and eight vehicles.
The three Weapon Augments come from limited Fly Buy stations and several kinds of drone drops, and each one nudges a different part of the gun.
| Augment | Effect |
|---|---|
| CQC | Faster aim down sights and sprint-to-fire, less hipfire recoil |
| Marksman | Better bullet velocity and damage range, less horizontal recoil and aiming sway |
| Handling | Faster reload, rechamber and slide-to-fire, less first-shot recoil, bob and flinch |
Resurgence adds two things of its own. The Weapon Trade Station swaps your gun for a higher-rarity version with more attachments, and Drop Kits set what you get on redeploy: Insured, Loadout, Armored or Radar.
Weapons and the camo grind
All 33 launch weapons from Modern Warfare 4 are usable, with more coming this season. Older guns from Modern Warfare 2 through Black Ops 7 sit in a Legacy tab: they work, but you cannot edit them in Gunsmith and they have no Mastery Camos.
| Mastery camo | Challenge |
|---|---|
| Parallax | Finish the Harmonic Break camo challenges, then 5 kills in one match, 300 times |
| Damascus Reforged | After Parallax, 2 kills without plating, 200 times |
| Empyros | After Damascus Reforged, a top 5 finish with at least 6 kills, 75 times |
Season 1’s Grind for Royalty camos are Gold Excellence and Gold Mosaic. The Return to Warzone event offers Renaissance, Violet Striker and Neutral Ground.
Warzone’s Battle Pass and what comes next
The post gives no Warzone Battle Pass contents or price, no Season 1 Operator names and no Switch 2 price. A Season 1 Reloaded post is promised closer to Mid-Season. The multiplayer pass is covered in our Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Battle Pass breakdown, and the pre-launch start time estimates are in the original Season 1 release guide.
