Fortnite Crew Changes on December 5: V-Bucks Tiers, XP Boost, OG Pass

Fortnite Crew, Epic’s $11.99 monthly subscription, changes on December 5, 2026. The monthly V-Bucks payout rises from 800 to at least 1,000 and grows to 1,600 the longer you stay subscribed. Crew members get an XP boost, and both the OG Pass and the monthly Crew Pack outfits come to an end.

Updated November 5, 2026, from Epic’s announcement of November 4.

The new V-Bucks tiers

Your tier depends on how many consecutive months you have been subscribed. Core pays 1,000 V-Bucks a month, Bronze 1,200, Silver 1,400 and Gold 1,600. Current subscribers do not need to do anything to keep their subscription.

Tier Months subscribed V-Bucks per month V-Bucks per $1 of the $11.99 price
Core 1 to 2 1,000 83.4
Bronze 3 to 5 1,200 100.1
Silver 6 to 11 1,400 116.8
Gold 12 or more 1,600 133.4

The flat 800 V-Bucks that Crew paid before December 5 worked out to about 66.7 per dollar of the $11.99 price, so Core is a 25% raise and Gold doubles the old payout. That counts only the monthly V-Bucks and ignores the passes Crew includes.

Existing subscribers are placed by their consecutive months within the past 12. Epic’s own example is someone who subscribed on June 15 and never lapsed: on their December 15 billing date they reach seven months and sit in Silver. The new Crew tab in the game shows your starting tier on December 5.

If you cancelled earlier this year

Resubscribing between December 6 and December 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET gives you a tier based on your most recent unbroken stretch in the last 12 months. Someone whose last stretch lasted three months earlier in the year, Epic says, starts at Bronze with 1,200 V-Bucks. Resubscribe after December 31 and earlier months stop counting, so you start at Core.

XP boost for you and your squad

Crew members earn 20% more XP in Fortnite. Teammates without Crew get a 10% boost while playing with you. Crew boosts do not stack with each other, and a party with several Crew members still gives a non-Crew player a single 10% boost. The FAQ answer covers only that stacking. Epic does not say how the Crew boost combines with other XP bonuses.

What ends on December 5

December’s pack is the last Crew Pack outfit. Legacy Styles for every Crew Pack you own (outfits, pickaxes and back blings) are granted in December whether or not you are still subscribed, and subscribers receive the December pack throughout the month. Epic does not say what, if anything, replaces the monthly outfit.

The OG Pass also ends on December 5, with a conclusion at the end of Chapter 1: OG Season X. Epic says the next era of Fortnite OG arrives in late 2027.

What stays the same

The price stays at $11.99 USD. The Fortnite Battle Pass, Music Pass, LEGO Pass and Rocket Pass Premium remain included. Epic’s pass calendar runs through the end of the year. The Music Mini-Pass arrives on November 12, and the LEGO Mini-Pass and the Fortnite Battle Pass both arrive on December 5.

Date Pass
November 12 Music Mini-Pass
December 5 LEGO Mini-Pass
December 5 Fortnite Battle Pass

After the two mini-passes, Epic says future Music and LEGO passes return to their regular size and come out more often. For the current season, see our Treasure Hunters guide and the One Piece shop schedule.
