CSGO is one of the biggest esports in the world and definitely the most popular shooter. Millions have played at least one of the Counter-Strike titles because this has been around for many years.

Although many people play alone, others are more than happy when they get the chance to compete with their friends. Unsurprisingly, some of the best teams in Counter-Strike started out as a group of friends who love to play together. 

Speaking of CSGO teams, there are all sorts of big names out there. Like any other esport, there is no such thing as “best teams” because even the top-tier organizations have ups and downs. That said, some teams are definitely more famous than others for the things they’ve achieved. So, let’s learn more about them.

Natus Vincere

The first and probably the most popular CSGO team in the world is Natus Vincere. The Ukrainian powerhouse started its journey back in CS 1.6 where it had players like Zeus and markeloff. The team dominated everyone there and slowly transitioned into CSGO.

Needless to say, a team of this caliber has won every popular event in CSGO. In fact, a quick look at the statistics shows that the organization won more than $9,000,000, which is really impressive.

As one of the top-tier teams in CSGO, Natus Vincere was home to loads of different top players. Aside from those mentioned above, we can also mention Starix, ceh9, Edward, kane, GuardiaN, flamie, and more. However, if one player stands out, it has to be s1mple. He is one of the most popular CSGO players in the world and one of the biggest names in this sport. Unsurprisingly, he has won every single individual award.

Nowadays, Natus Vincere is often considered as the best in the world, but there is one team that is always close to them — FaZe.

FaZe

Speaking of the best team in the world, we have to mention FaZe. Some people often underestimate the EU/US organization, but they are often regarded as the best alongside Natus Vincere.

Like the Ukrainian squad, this team won many prestigious CSGO events. In fact, it became the first International squad to win a Global Offensive Major in 2022. FaZe had little to no problems during the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 and won this crucial event.

If we look at FaZe Clan’s roster, we can find loads of top names. The team’s captain, karrigan is probably one of the most recognizable names because he has been a part of the CS universe for many years. Of course, we also have to mention the team’s coach called RobbaN, one of the living CS 1.6 legends.

While we are on the topic of legendary CS players that have been a part of FaZe, we also have to mention NEO. Needless to say, the team also had the privilege to work alongside coldzera, NiKo, Xizt, allu, fox, GuardiaN, and many more.

Cloud 9

Even though many CSGO players think that C9 is not on the same level as the other two on the list, this is not entirely true. Sure, this team might not have the success of others, but it definitely has what it takes to be the best.

Interestingly, Cloud 9 decided to acquire the Gambit Esports lineup earlier in 2022 and made a few minor changes. With that being said, players like HObbit, sh1ro, and nafany remain a part of the team and are among the main driving force behind C9’s success.

C9 is one of the few teams that has the power to defeat the powerful FaZe and Na’Vi. It will be exciting to keep an eye on this team in 2023 because it will most likely achieve its best results yet.

Astralis

Denmark has always been one of the most interesting countries when it comes down to esports. This is especially true for CSGO because the country is home to some of the best players in the world. Needless to say, there are also a couple of exciting teams, one of which is Astralis.

This team has always been one of the most successful names in the game ever since it became a part of it in 2016. Nowadays, the lineup consists of five players from Denmark. In fact, this is one of the new names in professional CSGO that never had a player from another country on its roster. The only exception is dennis because the Swed had to stand in for the team during the BLAST Pro Series: Copenhagen 2017.

Astralis is one of the most successful teams in CSGO regarding results. With more than $9.4M in prizes, this team can easily defeat every other top name in the game.

Ninjas in Pyjamas

There are only a couple of teams in all of the esports that have as much experience and are as popular as Ninjas in Pyjamas. This Swedish organization was created in 2000, making it one of the best names in this business.

NiP was home to an insane number of players over the years, including some of the most recognizable names. We can go on and on about the superstars that were a part of NiP, but it includes names like f0rest, pita, GeT_RiGhT, THREAT, Xizt, phzy, pyth and so on.

NiP has a pretty good roster consisting of four Swedes and one player from Denmark. Recently, NiP won the GLoal Esports Tour Dubai 2022 after defeating MOUZ in the final, so it definitely has what it takes to be victorious. However, we are yet to see if it can overcome the likes of Natus Vincere and FaZe.

The teams mentioned above are just some of the popular names you will come across. Like other eSports, some teams perform way better than others, so it all comes down to the team’s most recent results. With that said, every team here can be considered one of the best.
