Team Vitality initiate Valorant roster overhaul
Following their withdrawal from the EMEA LCQ, Team Vitality has now made yet another significant announcement. The French organization has chosen to relegate their Finnish IGL, Santeri “BONECOLD” Sassi, to the bench.
The partnered organization from EMEA broke this news in a post from their official Twitter handle. Expressing gratitude for BONECOLD’s contributions, the organization clarified that the move was taken in preparation for the upcoming VCT season.
Thank you @teamvitality for everything, its tough but I enjoyed every moment with the team, coaches and staff
Moving forwards, I will not let this year define me and as soon as I've got back to Finland, the grind continues
And as I said previously, I'll be back, stronger than… https://t.co/PTEv5yRDOC

Previously, following the tragic and untimely passing of Twisten, Team Vitality made the announcement to withdraw from the EMEA LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier). With that withdrawal, Molsi and Co lost their last chance to qualify for the Valorant Champions 2023, effectively marking the end of their current season.

BONECOLD assumed the role of IGL for Team Vitality, alongside some of the prominent European talents, for the inaugural VCT EMEA League. Although the team fell short of securing a top 3 finish and qualifying for the prestigious Masters and Champion events, they had a decent run in the regular season under the leadership of BONECOLD before bowing out of the tournament in the playoffs stage.
Here is what the current “Team Vitality” lineup looks like:
- Jokūbas “ceNder” Labutis
- Michał “MOLSI” Łącki
- Tomas “Destrian” Linikas
